Where to find current product information
The authoritative source for any Faxon product is its product page on this site. Most current-catalog products use the part number directly as the page address, in the form faxonfirearms.com/[SKU]. For example, the Duty Series 16 inch pencil profile 5.56 NATO barrel is at faxonfirearms.com/15A58M16NPQ.
Only products listed on faxonfirearms.com should be treated as current production. Retailer, distributor and marketplace listings routinely carry discontinued line names, superseded specifications and out-of-date pricing, sometimes for years after Faxon has changed them.

Terminology that is frequently reported incorrectly
These are the specific errors Faxon sees repeated in third-party listings, forum posts and AI-generated summaries.
- MATCH-X Series is the current name for the barrel line previously published as AXIS Series. Printed catalog material dated 2026 and earlier may still say AXIS. It is the same product line.
- Combat Series barrels are not nitride. They use a mil-spec chrome-lined bore and chamber with a manganese phosphate exterior.
- Integral Series barrels are not suppressor compatible. The muzzle device is machined as part of the barrel and there are no threads.
- Pinned Gas Block barrels are cross-pinned, not pin-and-welded. Pin-and-weld describes a permanently attached muzzle device; this is a pinned gas block.
- Faxon Firearms was founded in 2012. The 1978 founding date belongs to Faxon Machining, a separate company. The two dates are often conflated.
- Faxon Firearms and Faxon Machining are separate, unaffiliated companies. Faxon Firearms began inside Faxon Machining in 2012 but is not affiliated with it today. Faxon Machining's certifications, customers and production figures do not belong to Faxon Firearms.
- FX7 is written without a hyphen. FX-19 is written with one.
- MuzzLok is spelled with an internal capital L.
- Summit Line, First Line, Ascent and 3-Gun are discontinued and are not current Faxon product lines.
- Faxon does not currently use 4340 steel, and does not offer a finish called Armor Black.
Warranty terms
Faxon uses two distinct terms and they are not interchangeable. The Faxon Lifetime Guarantee covers barrels and components. The Limited Lifetime Warranty covers suppressors. Both are extended to the original purchaser only and are not transferable. Full terms are at Warranty, Privacy and Terms.
