6.5 Grendel AR-15 Barrels, 416-R Match Series

6.5 Grendel

Faxon Match Series 6.5 Grendel AR-15 Barrels

6.5 Grendel puts a long, high-BC 6.5 mm bullet into a case that fits an AR-15. It is based on the .220 Russian case, so it needs a Grendel bolt and Grendel magazines, but it runs in a standard AR-15 lower and upper. Faxon builds 4 Match Series 6.5 Grendel barrels (16″, 18″, 20″; 1:8 twist; $249–$301). Every Match Series barrel is machined from 416-R stainless, 5R button rifled, air gauged, stress relieved, 100% wet magnetic particle inspected, and salt-bath QPQ nitrided inside and out. Each ships with a nickel-Teflon (NP3) barrel extension installed, torqued to 150 ft-lb, pinned, and headspace checked 100%, and every one is full-auto capable. Faxon AR-15 and AR-10 barrels have been voted Favorite Aftermarket Barrel by Shooting Sports Retailer every year since 2022, the Gold Award.
