22 ARC

Faxon Match Series 22 ARC AR-15 Barrels

22 ARC is Hornady’s high-velocity .224 cartridge for the AR-15, part of the Grendel/ARC family. It launches heavy, high-BC .22 bullets like the 88 gr ELD Match at speeds Hornady compares to the 22-250, from a gun the size of a 5.56 carbine. Faxon builds 3 Match Series 22 ARC barrels (16″, 20″, 24″; 1:7 twist; $236–$310). Every Match Series barrel is machined from 416-R stainless, 5R button rifled, air gauged, stress relieved, 100% wet magnetic particle inspected, and salt-bath QPQ nitrided inside and out. Each ships with a nickel-Teflon (NP3) barrel extension installed, torqued to 150 ft-lb, pinned, and headspace checked 100%, and every one is full-auto capable. Faxon AR-15 and AR-10 barrels have been voted Favorite Aftermarket Barrel by Shooting Sports Retailer every year since 2022, the Gold Award.
