Both lines share the same bore: six-groove, land-and-groove button rifling, not polygonal, so they run jacketed and cast lead bullets. 416-R stainless gets an extra heat-treating step because, as bar stock, it isn’t hard enough for a pistol barrel; 4150 CMV is.

- Hood, lugs, profile, SAAMI 9mm chamber, and target crown turned and milled; threaded barrels cut 1/2x28
- 416-R Match Series barrels heat treated to pistol-barrel hardness
- Salt-bath QPQ nitride or PVD finish
- Laser-marked and final inspected
Threaded Barrels, Comps, and Suppressors
Every threaded Faxon pistol barrel is cut 1/2x28, the common 9mm thread, and ships with a thread protector. Faxon EXOS® compensators are built for each slide: Glock® Gen 3, Gen 4, Gen 5, G43, G43X/48, P320, P365/P365 XL, M&P®, Shield. Running a suppressor usually calls for suppressor-height sights. Threaded barrels cannot be shipped to California.
