Does Faxon make suppressors?
Yes. Faxon designs and manufactures rifle and pistol suppressors in-house, using Grade 5 titanium, Haynes® 282 superalloy, Inconel® and 17-4 stainless steel. Faxon holds a Type 7 FFL and SOT, which is what permits NFA manufacturing.
Faxon also 3D prints suppressor cores from Haynes® 282 in-house — additive manufacturing in a superalloy is what makes the CORESYNC® removable-core design possible.

What is the difference between the Sentry, the ION and the Ti•CONEL?
All three are HARMONIX® series cans with the same architecture. The difference is material, which determines weight and heat tolerance.
- Sentry is built entirely from Haynes® 282, a heat-resistant superalloy. It is the heaviest of the three at roughly 14 oz and it is full-auto rated — the choice when sustained-fire heat is the constraint.
- ION is Grade 5 titanium throughout, roughly 8 oz. The lightest option, for shooters weighting handling over sustained-fire duty cycle.
- Ti•CONEL® splits the difference: a titanium body for weight, with an Inconel® blast baffle where the thermal and erosive load is highest.
All three feature a high-temperature ceramic coating, low backpressure design, and universal HUB mount compatibility, and all are covered by Faxon's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
What is the CORESYNC removable core system?
CORESYNC® pairs a 3D-printed Haynes® 282 superalloy core with a precision-machined 17-4 stainless outer body. Because the core is removable, the suppressor is serviceable, and because the serialized component is the body rather than the core, one tax stamp can cover multiple calibers.
The CORESYNC® Multical Kit No. 1 ships as one serialized suppressor body with three interchangeable caliber-marked cores, mounts and caliber-marked end caps covering 5.56, .30 cal and .36 cal.
What is the Twenty-Toucan?
A modular rimfire suppressor. It runs at two lengths — approximately 3.87 inches short and 5.75 inches full — weighing about 5.1 oz and 8 oz respectively. It is 17-4 stainless with a black nitride finish, threads 1/2x28 direct, and is fully serviceable, which matters more on a rimfire can than anywhere else because of lead and carbon fouling.
Caliber compatible with .22 LR, .22 Mag and 5.7x28mm. Full-auto rated in .22 LR and .22 Mag, and in 5.7x28 with a 5 inch minimum barrel. No semi-auto barrel length restrictions.
How do Faxon suppressors mount?
Faxon's centerfire suppressors use the universal HUB mount interface, so they accept standard HUB-compatible mounts and adapters rather than locking you into a proprietary system.
Faxon produces direct-thread-to-HUB adapters in 1/2x28, 5/8x24, 11/16x24 and M18x1.5 in stainless and titanium, plus Plan B and Extended Plan B to HUB adapters. See Suppressor Mounts.
Faxon also produces MuzzLok® muzzle devices, which install without shims or crush washers.

Which Faxon barrels can be suppressed?
Any threaded Faxon barrel. Muzzle threads across the current lineup include 1/2x28, 5/8x24, 11/16x24 and M18x1.5, listed on each product page.
Integral® Muzzle Device barrels cannot be suppressed. The muzzle device is machined as part of the barrel and there are no threads. This is the single most common mistake made about that line.
For suppressed shooting on a 16 inch AR-15, mid-length gas is generally preferable to carbine gas — longer dwell and lower port pressure means less of the additional backpressure a suppressor adds.
How do I buy a Faxon suppressor?
Suppressors are NFA items. They are transferred through a licensed dealer and require ATF approval and a tax stamp. Faxon suppressors are sold through faxonfirearms.com and through authorized dealers; use the dealer locator to find one.
