What it is
The Faxon Match Series 16" 6.5 Grendel Gunner Barreled Upper is a high-accuracy upper assembly designed for long-range precision, hunting, and tactical use in an AR-15 platform. The 6.5 Grendel delivers flat trajectories, high BC projectiles, and excellent energy retention out to 600+ yards — all with mild recoil — making this upper ideal for varmint control, deer hunting, PRS-style competition, or any application needing superior ballistics in a lightweight package.
Centered on Faxon’s Match Series Gunner profile barrel (button-rifled in-house, 1:8 twist, stress-relieved, MPI-inspected, Nickel Teflon extension for reliable feeding) with mid-length gas system for smooth, soft cycling. It ships with Faxon’s MuzzLok® ported flash hider (7.62 steel, nitride) for effective flash suppression and porting to reduce muzzle rise. Paired with the Streamline 15" M-LOK handguard, fixed low-profile gas block, and mid-length stainless gas tube for modular versatility and balanced handling.
Sub-MOA capable, reliable, and optimized for distance — the Match Series upper that extends your effective range without excess weight.

- Not ideal for: Close-quarters defense (consider 5.56 or 300 BLK), ultralight backpacking (try Pencil profile), high-volume plinking (6.5 Grendel ammo cost & availability).
