The Faxon 9310 6.5 Grendel / ARC Type 2 Bolt (.136) – Nitride is a premium AR-15 replacement bolt designed for SAAMI-spec Grendel and ARC cartridges. Treating “MIL-SPEC” as the baseline, Faxon refines material selection, inspection, and surface finishing to deliver consistent reliability and long service life.
Each bolt is machined from 9310 tool steel, fully heat-treated, shot-peened, and Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) to ensure material integrity. The bolt receives a salt bath nitride treatment to increase surface hardness, reduce friction, and provide excellent corrosion resistance compared to phosphate finishes.
Bolt lugs are chamfered to promote smooth cycling—even with higher-pressure loads and fast actions. The extractor is manufactured from S7 tool steel and assembled with a spring, silicone insert, and “Crane” O-ring to support consistent extraction.
Compatibility Note: This is a Type 2 (.136) bolt and is not compatible with Faxon 7.62x39 barrels.
