Shipping & returns — Trusted Distribution Partner items
When will my order ship?

Trusted Distribution Partner items typically ship within 1–3 business days from our partner's warehouse, separate from any Faxon-fulfilled items in your order. Transit times depend on the carrier and destination.

Will tracking come from Faxon?

Yes — you'll receive a tracking notification from Faxon Firearms when your partner-shipped item leaves the warehouse. If your order also contains Faxon-fulfilled items, you'll receive separate tracking for each shipment.

Can I combine this with other Faxon items in one shipment?

No. Items marked Trusted Distribution Partner ship from a different warehouse than Faxon-fulfilled items and will arrive separately. Each shipment has its own tracking and may arrive on different days.

How do returns work for partner-shipped items?

Returns for Trusted Distribution Partner items are handled by Faxon Customer Service rather than through our standard self-service portal, so we can coordinate the return with our partner on your behalf.

To start a return, contact us at customerservice@faxonfirearms.com or submit a request through our support form and select “Refund / Return.”

Is this product authentic and covered by warranty?

Yes. All Trusted Distribution Partner products are sourced from authorized distributors and are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty. Faxon stands behind every product sold on faxonfirearms.com.

Trijicon SRO Sight Adjustable LED 2.5 MOA Red Dot SRO2-C-2500002, competition optic large window RMR footprint forged 7075-T6 aluminum Trijicon — Optics & Sights

TRIJICON SRO SIGHT ADJUSTABLE LED — 2.5 MOA RED DOT

2.5 MOA Red Dot Competition-Optimized Adjustable LED Large Window Top-Load Battery RMR Footprint 7075-T6 Aluminum 1.6 oz
Factory Testing Notice: All Trijicon optics are individually tested at the factory and may show minor signs of use. This is a standard part of Trijicon’s quality control process and does not affect function, performance, or warranty coverage.

The Trijicon SRO — Specialized Reflex Optic — is Trijicon’s purpose-built competition handgun optic, and the 2.5 MOA model sits at the center of the SRO dot-size lineup as the versatile choice. Where the 1 MOA is purpose-built for shooters who prioritize precision above all, and the 5 MOA is optimized for pure speed at close range, the 2.5 MOA covers both without forcing a trade. It is precise enough for scored distance shots and fast enough to pick up under time pressure at close targets — a practical configuration for competitors who run diverse course layouts or want one optic that does not demand they specialize. Built on the same SRO platform: extra-large unobstructed window for faster target acquisition and dot tracking, top-loading battery tray that lets you swap a CR2032 without removing the optic or disturbing zero, and eight adjustable LED brightness settings with an automatic mode and lock-in/lock-out behavior control. Forged 7075-T6 aluminum, hard anodized finish, waterproof to 10 feet, and the same RMR mounting footprint for compatibility with any RMR-cut slide or mount.

Why 2.5 MOA: The Versatile Middle Ground

Dot size in an open emitter red dot is a genuine tradeoff, and the 2.5 MOA is where most competition shooters who have tried all three sizes tend to land. At close range, the dot is large enough to find quickly in the window without hunting for it. At distance, it covers less of the target than a 5 MOA dot, leaving the scoring zone visible and giving the shooter a cleaner sight picture when precision matters. The 1 MOA pushes that precision advantage further but demands more visual focus time to confirm the dot’s position under speed. The 5 MOA acquisition is faster at close range but starts to obscure target scoring zones as distance increases. The 2.5 MOA splits that difference — if your competition schedule includes a mix of stages with both close steel and distance paper, or if you are new to dot-equipped competition and want to avoid committing to either extreme before developing a preference, the 2.5 MOA is the straightforward starting point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why might this optic show signs of use if it is listed as new?

Trijicon individually tests every optic at the factory before it ships — this is part of their standard quality control process. The testing process may leave minor cosmetic marks from test fixtures or light handling. These marks do not affect function, zero retention, brightness performance, or warranty coverage. The optic arrives ready to use and fully covered by Trijicon’s limited lifetime warranty.

How does the 2.5 MOA dot compare to the 1 MOA and 5 MOA options in the SRO lineup?

Dot size controls how much of the target the dot physically covers at a given distance. A 1 MOA dot covers 1 inch at 100 yards; a 2.5 MOA covers 2.5 inches; a 5 MOA covers 5 inches. In practical terms, smaller dots are more precise — they cover less of the target, allowing the shooter to see scoring zones clearly at distance — while larger dots are faster to find in the window for close-range targets. The 1 MOA SRO is best suited for shooters who emphasize precision and are comfortable hunting for a small dot at speed. The 5 MOA is best for close-range speed work. The 2.5 MOA is the best default choice for shooters who compete on mixed-distance stages, want one optic that handles both roles without forcing a compromise, or are new to competition with a mounted optic and want to assess their preferences before committing to an extreme.

What is the difference between lock-out and lock-in mode?

Lock-out and lock-in are button behavior modes that control how the SRO manages brightness activation. In lock-out mode, the brightness adjustment buttons are disabled for manual input — the optic operates exclusively in automatic brightness mode. This prevents accidentally changing brightness settings during a stage or draw. In lock-in mode, the user selects a specific manual brightness setting and the optic holds that level indefinitely, ignoring the auto-brightness sensor. The selected setting stays locked until you intentionally change it. Both modes give competitors predictable, stable brightness behavior for the duration of a match.

Does the SRO use the same mount and holster as the RMR?

The SRO and RMR share the same mounting hole pattern and screw spacing, so the SRO fits directly onto any RMR-cut slide or mount. Holsters are a separate consideration. The SRO’s body is physically wider than the RMR due to its larger window, and some holsters designed for the RMR body profile will not clear the SRO’s housing. Before purchasing a holster, confirm with the holster manufacturer that their RMR-compatible model also supports the SRO. Most major competition holster makers — Safariland, Competition Tactical, CR Speed, and others — produce SRO-specific versions of their popular designs.

The spec sheet says "Night Vision Compatible: Non-Compatible" but lists 2 NV modes. What does that mean?

The SRO includes two very low-output brightness settings that reduce dot intensity for low-light environments. These are sometimes referred to as NV modes because their output level is low enough that some shooters use them alongside certain night vision devices in practice. However, Trijicon does not certify the SRO as night vision compatible in their official specifications — the "Non-Compatible" rating reflects that Trijicon has not validated and warranted the SRO for NV device use. If confirmed NV compatibility is a requirement, the SRO is not the appropriate optic. For general low-light use without NV devices, the low-output settings work as intended.

About Trijicon

Trijicon is an American optics manufacturer headquartered in Wixom, Michigan. Founded in 1981, Trijicon built their reputation on self-luminous tritium iron sights and the ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight), which became the standard-issue optic for U.S. military infantry forces. The RMR introduced in 2009 established the benchmark for micro red dot pistol optics, and the SRO extends that platform into the competition market with purpose-built features for competitive shooters. Trijicon products are used by U.S. military special operations units, federal law enforcement, and professional competitive shooters worldwide. All Trijicon optics are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
