Shipping & returns — Trusted Distribution Partner items
When will my order ship?

Trusted Distribution Partner items typically ship within 1–3 business days from our partner's warehouse, separate from any Faxon-fulfilled items in your order. Transit times depend on the carrier and destination.

Will tracking come from Faxon?

Yes — you'll receive a tracking notification from Faxon Firearms when your partner-shipped item leaves the warehouse. If your order also contains Faxon-fulfilled items, you'll receive separate tracking for each shipment.

Can I combine this with other Faxon items in one shipment?

No. Items marked Trusted Distribution Partner ship from a different warehouse than Faxon-fulfilled items and will arrive separately. Each shipment has its own tracking and may arrive on different days.

How do returns work for partner-shipped items?

Returns for Trusted Distribution Partner items are handled by Faxon Customer Service rather than through our standard self-service portal, so we can coordinate the return with our partner on your behalf.

Trijicon SRO Sight Adjustable LED 1 MOA Red Dot SRO1-C-2500001, competition optic large window RMR footprint forged 7075-T6 aluminum Trijicon — Optics & Sights

TRIJICON SRO SIGHT ADJUSTABLE LED — 1 MOA RED DOT

1 MOA Red Dot Competition-Optimized Adjustable LED Large Window Top-Load Battery RMR Footprint 7075-T6 Aluminum 1.6 oz
Factory Testing Notice: All Trijicon optics are individually tested at the factory and may show minor signs of use. This is a standard part of Trijicon’s quality control process and does not affect function, performance, or warranty coverage.

The Trijicon SRO — Specialized Reflex Optic — is Trijicon’s purpose-built competition handgun optic. Where the RMR was engineered for duty and military use, the SRO was designed from the ground up around the needs of competitive pistol shooters: the largest unobstructed window in a micro red dot form factor, a top-loading battery tray that eliminates the need to remove and re-zero the optic for a battery change, and the same RMR mounting footprint so it drops directly onto any RMR-cut slide. The 1 MOA dot is the most precise option in the SRO lineup — sharp enough for distance stages, consistent at speed — with eight manual brightness settings, an automatic mode, and a lock-in/lock-out brightness system that gives competitors direct control over whether the optic manages brightness or locks to a chosen setting. Built from forged 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard anodized finish, waterproof to 10 feet with drainage holes, and rated for up to three years of battery life at brightness setting 4. For competitive pistol shooters who have been working around the RMR’s smaller window, the SRO is the direct answer.

Designed for Competition, Not Duty

The SRO and RMR share a mounting footprint and come from the same manufacturer, but they are built for different priorities. The RMR’s patented frame construction distributes recoil across the slide in a way that prioritizes survival under extreme abuse — slide-mounted carry pistols, hard use, adverse conditions. The SRO trades some of that structural geometry for a significantly larger window opening. Competition shooters need to track the dot quickly across multiple targets and confirm the dot’s position during fast transitions. The larger window makes both easier. The top-loading battery compartment removes another practical friction point for competitive use: changing the battery on an RMR means removing the optic and re-zeroing. On the SRO, the battery slides out from the top with the optic still mounted, and zero is never disturbed. If your primary application is USPSA, IPSC, Steel Challenge, or similar competition formats, the SRO makes a direct trade of the RMR’s extreme-duty frame geometry for features that improve competition performance. If your application is hard-use duty carry where the optic must survive extreme abuse above all, the RMR remains the standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why might this optic show signs of use if it is listed as new?

Trijicon individually tests every optic at the factory before it ships — this is part of their standard quality control process. The testing process may leave minor cosmetic marks from test fixtures or light handling. These marks do not affect function, zero retention, brightness performance, or warranty coverage. The optic arrives ready to use and fully covered by Trijicon’s limited lifetime warranty.

What is the difference between lock-out and lock-in mode?

Lock-out and lock-in are button behavior modes that control how the SRO manages brightness activation. In lock-out mode, the brightness adjustment buttons are disabled for manual input — the optic operates exclusively in automatic brightness mode. This prevents accidentally changing brightness settings during a stage or draw. In lock-in mode, the user selects a specific manual brightness setting and the optic holds that level indefinitely, ignoring the auto-brightness sensor. The selected setting stays locked until you intentionally change it. Both modes give competitors the option to have the optic’s brightness behavior fixed and predictable for the duration of a match, either trusting the auto-sensor or locking to a chosen level.

The spec sheet says "Night Vision Compatible: Non-Compatible" but the features list mentions 2 NV modes. Which is correct?

Both are accurate in different ways. The SRO includes two very low-output brightness settings designed to reduce dot intensity in low-light environments — these are sometimes marketed as "NV modes" because their output level is low enough to be usable alongside some night vision devices in practice. However, Trijicon does not certify or market the SRO as night vision compatible in the same way they do for purpose-built NV-compatible optics. The spec sheet rating of Non-Compatible reflects that official certification position. If confirmed night vision compatibility is a requirement for your use, the SRO is not the appropriate choice and you should look at NV-rated optics. If you simply want very low brightness settings for indoor use or low-light environments without NV devices, the SRO’s low-output settings cover that.

Does the SRO and RMR use the exact same mount/slide cut?

The SRO and RMR share the same mounting hole pattern and screw spacing, which means the SRO fits any slide that is cut to the RMR footprint. However, the SRO’s body is physically larger than the RMR — its wider window opening means the optic extends further to the sides. In most cases this is not an issue: the optic seats and secures correctly on any RMR-cut surface. Where it can matter is holster fitment. Some RMR holsters are sized to the RMR body profile and may not clear the SRO’s wider housing. Before purchasing a holster for an SRO, verify with the holster manufacturer that their RMR-compatible holster is SRO-compatible as well. Most major competition holster manufacturers (Safariland, Competition Tactical, CR Speed, and others) offer SRO-specific versions of their popular designs.

Why is the 1 MOA dot the right choice for competition?

Dot size in MOA represents the angular diameter of the dot in your field of view at distance. A 1 MOA dot covers 1 inch of target area at 100 yards — significantly smaller than a 3.25 or 6.5 MOA dot. For competition shooting, a smaller dot offers two advantages: it obscures less of the target (important for precision scoring zones at distance), and it is physically more precise for calling shots. The tradeoff is acquisition speed under time pressure at close range — a larger dot is faster to find in the window. Most competition shooters who train regularly adapt to 1 MOA quickly, and for divisions with distance stages or points-based scoring, the 1 MOA is generally favored. The SRO’s larger window partially compensates for the smaller dot by giving the eye more field of view in which to find it.

About Trijicon

Trijicon is an American optics manufacturer headquartered in Wixom, Michigan. Founded in 1981, Trijicon built their reputation on self-luminous tritium iron sights and the ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight), which became the standard-issue optic for U.S. military infantry forces. The RMR introduced in 2009 established the benchmark for micro red dot pistol optics, and the SRO extends that platform into the competition market with purpose-built features for competitive shooters. Trijicon products are used by U.S. military special operations units, federal law enforcement, and professional competitive shooters worldwide. All Trijicon optics are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
