Why a Blowback 9mm PCC

A 9mm AR shoots soft, costs less per round, and is quiet with a can — which is why pistol-caliber carbines have become the default for training, competition, and home defense. This one is straight blowback: the full-mass carrier and heavy buffer hold the action closed until pressure drops, so there is no gas port, block, or tube to tune or clean.

Running Glock-pattern magazines means the same magazines as the most common duty pistols. The barrel’s chamber mouth is radiused and chamfered to feed from them, and the Gen 2 BCG has a ramped bottom so the trigger works with it cleanly.

What “PRO” Means

The PRO line is Faxon’s factory-complete firearm line built with upgrade-level components from day one — a match trigger, an ambidextrous gas-blocking charging handle, ambi safety, quality furniture — instead of a basic build you upgrade later. Barrels are made in Faxon’s own plant; the firearm is assembled there.

What magazines does it use?

Glock-pattern 9mm magazines. The lower is Faxon’s forged 9mm Glock-pattern AR-9 lower, and an Elite Tactical Systems 31-round magazine is included.

Is it blowback or gas-operated?

Straight blowback. There is no gas port, block, or tube; the Gen 2 full-mass 9mm BCG and a 5.5 oz 9mm buffer keep the action closed until pressure drops.

What trigger and controls does it have?

The Faxon Enhanced Match Trigger by Schmid® (curved, 3.5 lb), an ambidextrous safety, and the Faxon Edition Breek® Sledgehammer ambidextrous charging handle.

Can I suppress it?

Yes. The muzzle is 1/2x28. Remove the Rowdy Pineapple and thread on a 9mm direct-thread can, or add a Plan B 9mm flash hider for a Plan B-compatible mount. 147 gr loads are subsonic.

What is the barrel length?

8.5″. The installed barrel is the Faxon Duty Series 8.5″ Light Taper 9mm blowback barrel, 0.81 lb.

How does it ship?

As a complete firearm, to your licensed FFL dealer for transfer.
