Faxon Rowdy Pineapple 9mm 1/2x28 Venturi Muzzle Device

The Rowdy Pineapple brings Faxon’s Venturi muzzle device to 9mm. Its port geometry draws cooler ambient air into the escaping gases to help knock down visible flash and push blast and sound forward, away from the shooter, without adding backpressure. It is machined from stainless steel with the signature diamond “pineapple” knurl, sized for a 9mm bore, and threads straight onto a 1/2x28 muzzle with no crush washer. It’s the device Faxon installs on its Duty Series 9mm uppers and PRO 9mm PCCs.

How a Venturi Device Works

A conventional flash hider breaks up the burning gas leaving the muzzle; a brake throws it sideways to fight recoil. The Rowdy Pineapple does something different. Its Venturi port geometry uses the speed of the escaping gas to draw cooler outside air in and mix it, which helps tame the flash, and it steers the blast and sound forward instead of out to the sides.

Because it doesn’t trap or redirect gas back toward the action, it adds no backpressure — important on a blowback 9mm, where cycling depends on the carrier and buffer, not a gas system. On a pistol-caliber carbine it gives you a cleaner signature and a lot more attitude than a bare muzzle.

Is the Rowdy Pineapple a suppressor?

No. It is a muzzle device that helps reduce flash and pushes blast and sound forward. It does not suppress sound.

Will it affect how my 9mm cycles?

No. The Venturi design doesn’t add backpressure, so a blowback 9mm cycles the same as it does with a flash hider.

Do I need a crush washer?

No. It installs by direct thread on a 1/2x28 muzzle with no crush washer or shims.

Can I use it on a 5.56 or .300 BLK barrel?

Use the caliber-matched version: the Rowdy Pineapple 5.56 for 5.56, or the Rowdy Pineapple .338 (5/8x24) for .30 and .338. Never use a muzzle device with a bore smaller than your bullet.

What does Faxon install it on?

It comes on Faxon Duty Series 8.5″ and 10.5″ 9mm barreled and complete uppers and the PRO 9mm PCC rifle and pistol.
