The Faxon AXIS Series 12" 8.6 Blackout (8.6 BLK) AR-10 barrel is purpose-built for compact, high-performance 8.6 BLK builds where handling, suppressor use, and heavy-projectile stability matter most. With a fast 1:3 twist and pistol-length gas system, it’s tuned for modern 8.6 Blackout setups in the AR-10 / LR-308 pattern.
AXIS Series barrels are built around premium stainless fundamentals: 416-R stainless steel, 5R rifling, and a honed & lapped bore for consistency and easier cleaning. The exterior is left uncoated with a clean media-blast finish, and the Nickel Teflon-coated barrel extension supports smooth cycling at the interface. Each barrel is MPI inspected and finished with a recessed 11° target crown.
