The Faxon AXIS Series 16" 8.6 Blackout AR-10 barrel is engineered for builders who want a purpose-driven 8.6 BLK setup with premium barrel fundamentals and a modern muzzle interface. Featuring a fast 1:3 twist, this barrel is optimized for the heavy-for-caliber projectiles commonly used in 8.6 BLK (8.6 Blackout).
All AXIS Series barrels are produced from 416-R stainless steel and use 5R rifling with a honed & lapped bore for consistency and easier cleaning. The exterior is left uncoated with a clean media-blast surface finish, while the barrel extension features a Nickel Teflon coating for smooth operation and corrosion resistance where it matters most. Each barrel is Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) and finished with a recessed 11° target crown.
