The Faxon Match Series 16" 6mm ARC Barrel is designed to deliver superior accuracy, balance, and handling. Built with Faxon’s signature Gunner profile, it combines the rigidity of a government profile with the lightweight feel of a pencil barrel — perfect for precision shooters, hunters, and competitors.
Each barrel is 100% manufactured in-house from 416R stainless steel and features 5R hybrid rifling that improves velocity, reduces jacket deformation, and makes cleaning easier. After rigorous testing, it’s Nitride treated inside and out for corrosion resistance and extended life.
The Nickel Teflon-coated M4 barrel extension ensures tight receiver fit and smooth lockup for enhanced accuracy. Like all Faxon Match barrels, this model is stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and Magnetic Particle Inspected for unmatched quality.

6mm ARC 16” Gunner Bbl.
I was interested enough in the 6mm ARC to start putting an upper together. The increase in firearms sales in early 2021 has made putting an ARC together an exercise in patients. I got on the notifications list and as soon as Faxon had a Bbl I ordered it. Shipping was fast and I had an upper with a 5x25 Burris scope attached. I was on the waitlist for reloading dies from two companies. I had the carbine but no ammunition or the means to make it. A friend of mine was also interested in the 6mm ARC and was able to find two boxes of Hornady Black. I was able to that ammunition from him and we sighed it in at 100 yards. During the sight in I shot a three shot group at 0.6”. Two days later I was able to shoot at 300 and 500 yards. All rounds connected to the steel plates. With my very limited experience I can tell you that this is going to be one of my favorite carbines. The Faxon Bbl is performing. I just need to find more ammunition!
