Not Faxon quality
This is not my first Faxon barrel, and probably not my last. HOWEVER, it IS my last directly from Faxon!! What a nightmare. They don't ship fast at all; it's more like "when we get to it." Then, getting a bolt matched? Foirget it. If they are not in stock you cannot backorder. If you wait for bolts, the barrel you want may be gone. And, they won't tell you when one of the two will be in stock. Now, for the worst. TOO BAD we cannot submit photos, because I have them! QPQ is there for a reason. When there are scratches around the barrel, either the QPQ quality is terrible, or your barrel has been trhough some hard abuse. In ANY CASE, you have now lost any rust resistance in that area. Sooooo, they are rough handled, or you get blems when you order direct. Whichever it is, it's unsatisfactory. Too bad. Since I can't do it here, I will post the photos on the AR-15 sites.

6* Wow - I am very impressed!
Bought this a part of a new upper build to replace a 1/9 16" chrome lined barrel. Took it to Ben Avery this morning and after 0ing, shot 3x 3x groups at 100yds with freedom munitions 55gr reman. Outstanding! It's mid-length gas combined with a pin&welded (16 5/8" from bolt face) Strike Ind. J-Comp make this a very easy shooter perfect for quick follow-ups. Mounting on a carbine buffer Core-15 lower resulted in no FTF/FTE/other issues through 250 rds! My new, improved CQB is a definite keeper, highly recommended! Oh, came with a very nice 3 set screw gas block...

Great product, great company.
This is my first after market barrel I've bought and it set the bar pretty high. First off let me say every operator,is different every rifle is different. That being said here is my results. After installing me and a buddy went to the range. I brought my rifle: setup was a colt upper, 15" keymod rail, spikes dynacomp (pined and welded to make it legal) NB bolt carrier and raptor charging handle. Lower is stock POS diamondback with magpul grip and standard milspec trigger, h2 4.4 Oz buffer and springco blues spring. My buddy brought his armalite 20" barrel that he recently free floated. Standard A2 flash hidder. He had a scope (not sure what kind) and I was using a POS red dot (plan on buying a holosun). After sighting in it was game time. I graphed a dope chart. First groups were not so good. I thought I had wasted my money. By the fith group, the tables were turned. At 50 yards (we spilt the difference because I didn't have a scope) I was getting .75-1 MOA groups consistently. I did have one that opened up to 2MOA but I feel like I might have winged one. He was hitting about the same. Both shooters were sitting. He had a bipod, I was using a piece of wood I found. Weather conditions were 58 degrees, 4mph SE wind, no rain or fog, at 5pm daylight conditions. So all in all I have to say I'm very impressed. I would recommend this product to anyone either upgrading a barrel or starting to build their ar.

Great product
This is the second barrel I have purchased from you and am very satisfied with it. It sighted in very quickly, was an easy install on a new upper reciever build with a Troy Alpha rail and an A2 flash hider. The wife seems to be eyeing it instead of her own... Thank you for another beauty.

Awesome barrel.
Ordered the 14.5" barrel with the intention of pinning and welding a compensator on. Finish is superb. Have yet to shoot it, so no feedback with regards to that aspect.

My new standard
I purchased this barrel initially because of the decent price point for the construction and features of the barrel. I'm extremely happy that I did. The finish on the barrel is immaculate and the the shipping was faster than guaranteed. Coupled with an aero upper and Frankenstein lower I'm at about 3/4-1 moa consistenly. From now on when I need a barrel for a build I'll be contacting Faxon firearms.
