The Faxon MuzzLok® Ported 5.56 Flash Hider pairs effective flash reduction with Faxon’s patented MuzzLok® timing system for fast, repeatable installation—no crush washer or shims required. Built from steel and finished in a durable salt bath nitride, it’s designed for long service life and easy maintenance in real-world use.
MuzzLok® Timing System
Faxon’s invented MuzzLok® feature allows you to time your muzzle device by using the extension nut to adjust length and rotational timing. Because you’re not fighting crush washer resistance, the device can be removed and reinstalled more easily if desired.

I haven’t shot through it yet but it sure seems like a great concept for a muzzle device and not having to deal with a crush washer.

Awesome flash hider! Very well made, easy to install and looks great to boot. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an upgrade from your standard bird cage.

Needs More Attention to Detail
There is a lot to like about this product, most notably the reasons it was designed to allow easy access to your muzzle for cleaning and maintenance. My unit came with badly fouled threads. It looks like they were not properly cleaned prior to finishing. Barely got it on one barrel and it was a no go on another (by hand). Had to use a tap to clean it up. Can't imagine that anyone inspected / tested this unit prior to shipping.
