Faxon Duty Series Barrel for Glock® G19 — 9mm Non-Threaded Nitride
The OEM-plus upgrade for the G19. Machined in-house from 4150 CMV steel, finished inside and out with QPQ salt bath nitride, and fitted to a SAAMI-spec 9mm chamber — this barrel delivers tighter lockup, longer service life, and genuine reliability without requiring fitting or modification. Why Duty Series?
Glock factory barrels are built to broad manufacturing tolerances. Faxon Duty Series barrels are machined to tighter specs — the same 4150 CMV steel used in law enforcement and military barrels worldwide, QPQ-nitrided for surface hardness and corrosion resistance, and chambered to SAAMI 9mm dimensions that promote consistent lockup without sacrificing the reliability a carry or duty gun demands. Whether you’re upgrading a Gen 3, Gen 4, Gen 5, or G19X, the fit and function are identical.
The result is an affordable upgrade that shoots more consistently than OEM, lasts longer, cleans easier, and handles a wider range of ammunition — including cast and coated lead, which stock Glock® polygonal rifling cannot safely use.

A Note on Aftermarket Slide Compatibility
Faxon Duty Series barrels are machined to tighter tolerances than Glock® OEM specifications and are validated against Glock® factory slide dimensions across Gen 2–5 and G19X. They are designed and tested as true drop-in fits in Glock® OEM slides. If you are building a mixed-parts pistol — pairing this barrel with a third-party aftermarket slide from another manufacturer — dimensional variation between that slide and our barrel may require minor fitting or gunsmithing to achieve proper lockup and function. This is a normal characteristic of mixing tighter-tolerance aftermarket components from different makers, and is not a defect in the barrel. We recommend a full function check before live fire any time aftermarket parts from multiple sources are combined.

Installation
Always ensure your firearm is completely unloaded before beginning any installation.
- Field strip your G19 following Glock® manufacturer instructions.
- Remove the factory barrel from the slide.
- Drop in the Faxon Duty Series barrel — no fitting, reaming, or modification required when used with a Glock® OEM slide.
- Reassemble the slide and perform a complete function check.
- Test-fire with your chosen ammunition to confirm reliable cycling and function.
Note: This barrel is engineered and validated against Glock® OEM slide tolerances. If installing into a third-party aftermarket slide, minor fitting may be required. See the compatibility note above.

Can I shoot cast lead or coated bullets?
Yes. Faxon uses conventional rifling on all Duty Series pistol barrels. Cast lead, coated lead, plated, and jacketed bullets are all safe to use — unlike Glock® factory polygonal rifling, which is not recommended for lead bullets.
What’s the difference between Duty Series and Match Series?
The Duty Series is machined from 4150 CMV carbon steel with QPQ nitride — optimized for reliability, durability, and consistent carry use. The Match Series uses 416-R stainless steel with Faxon’s Flame Fluted® profile, tighter tolerances, and is available in PVD finishes (TiN, Chameleon). Can I add a suppressor or compensator to this barrel?
This is a non-threaded barrel and does not support direct-thread suppressor or compensator attachment. For suppressed or compensated use, see the Duty Series G19 Threaded Barrel (1/2×28) or the threaded Match Series G19 barrels.
Does this barrel require break-in?
No formal break-in procedure is required. Function-testing with your carry or duty ammunition after installation is always recommended to confirm reliable cycling.
Is this barrel inspected before it ships?
Yes. Every Faxon pistol barrel is individually inspected — not batch-sampled. This includes dimensional verification, chamber and headspace gauging, and visual inspection before the barrel leaves our Cincinnati facility.
