The Faxon Superfinished AR10 Bolt Carrier Group – Gen 2 (Nitride) is engineered for shooters running large-frame AR platforms chambered in .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 8.6 Blackout. Viewing “MIL-SPEC” as the baseline, Faxon refines materials, inspection, and surface finishing to deliver smooth cycling, reliable extraction, and long-term durability.
This BCG features a 9310 tool steel bolt that is fully heat treated, shot peened, and chamfered at the rear of the lugs to promote reliable cycling under high-pressure loads. All bolts are Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) to ensure material integrity.
The entire assembly receives a QPQ salt bath nitride treatment to increase surface hardness, reduce friction, and provide excellent corrosion resistance compared to traditional phosphate finishes. Faxon’s Superfinish further reduces friction and fouling for smoother operation and easier cleaning.
Designed to be DPMS Gen 1 compatible, the carrier uses grade 8 fasteners and a fully staked gas key to ensure gas system reliability throughout the service life of the rifle.

Solid AR-10 BCG.
This is a heavy and solid BCG I was lucky to grab while on sale. It’s gorgeous and feels well made. It’s currently housed in the Faxon upper receiver on the 8.6 BLK I’m building. I can’t wait to test this addition.

Solid in my experience
I’ve read a bit of negative content about Faxon 8.6 products. I’ve experienced the opposite so far. I’m building my second 8.6 semi upper. Both with aero uppers and Faxon bolt barrel and hand guard. This review is on the bolt. So, it’s packaged nicely and they ship well. I receive my orders on or before the day scheduled. I live on an island so good job. What’s important to me, reliability, durability, support and cost, looks is a bonus as well as shipping and the other little stuff. The round count on this build is zero. However my other bolt, which is why I bought another one is 440rds with 160 the most shot in one session. With that, the wear is minimal some very light finish wear where my charging handle rubs on the back side of the gas key. The bolt and ejector are in excellent condition so far. The carrier has a nice slick finish on it that still looks new. My 1st one head spaced good and I have not competed the second yet. My accuracy is about 1-1.5 inches at 100 with lpvo. I am very happy with the Faxon bolt, barrel, hand guard and brake. I will definitely continue doing business with Faxon. My next project will be a bolt 8.6. Other notable parts that make this rifle what it is(very nice) are, Jp silent capture buffer, trigger tech trigger, and I think superlative arms adjustable gas block. All these parts including Faxon are essential to the quality of my build. Good luck and hope this helps. I don’t get anything from anyone for my reviews fyi. This has worked great since faxon fixed the ejector issues. In fact they replaced my old BCG for a new one with no issues

I ordered this for my 8.6 blk build the finish is excellent I am still waiting on a barrel so haven't got to use it yet but I am sure it will work fine judging by the fitment in the receivers
