FAXON MATCH SERIES 7.5" .300 BLK GUNNER 1:5T BARRELED UPPER - SUPPRESSOR READY
FaxonDescription
AR15 Upper Receivers › Barreled Uppers — Suppressor Ready › Match Series 7.5″ .300 BLK | Works with: 5.56/300 BLK BCG • .30 cal suppressors • Breek® charging handle • Plan B muzzle devices
Why a 7.5″ 1:5 Twist 300 BLK
300 Blackout was designed for short barrels and suppressors, and 7.5″ is where most people actually run it: a compact pistol or PDW, often suppressed, often on heavy subsonic ammunition. In that role, bullet stability and consistent cycling matter more than anything else.
The 1:5 twist is what makes long, heavy subsonic bullets fly straight out of a short barrel, and 5R rifling is gentler on jackets than sharp-shouldered rifling. The adjustable gas block handles the other half of the problem — subs and supers, with and without a can, run very differently on a fixed gas system.
What “Match Series” Means
Match Series is Faxon’s stainless precision-barrel line: 416R stainless, button rifled, stress relieved, and salt-bath nitrided. Each barrel is 100% magnetic-particle inspected, air-gauged, and headspace checked before it ships. Faxon’s 4150 CMV Duty Series is the hard-use option; the Match Series is the one to reach for when consistency shot to shot is the point.

Match Series 7.5″ .300 BLK Upper FAQs
Why a 1:5 twist?
Heavy subsonic 300 BLK bullets are long, and long bullets need fast spin to stay stable, especially from a short barrel. 1:5 stabilizes them from 7.5″, and it still shoots supersonic loads.
Will subsonic ammunition cycle it without a suppressor?
Not always, and that is expected. Subsonic 300 BLK makes little gas; unsuppressed, it may not cycle reliably on any short 300 BLK. With a suppressor it runs. Use the adjustable gas block to tune for the setup you shoot most.
What bolt and magazines does it use?
A standard 5.56/300 BLK bolt face, such as the Faxon 5.56 M16 BCG, and standard AR-15 magazines. Because 300 BLK fits 5.56 magazines, mark your 300 BLK magazines so they never end up in a 5.56 rifle.
How does the adjustable gas block work?
The Faxon patented adjustable .750″ low-profile block has 14 tactile settings from fully open to fully closed, set with a 3/32″ hex key or a flat screwdriver. Close it down for suppressed or to soften recoil; open it up for unsuppressed or low-powered loads.
How does the Plan B flash hider mount a suppressor?
The MuzzLok® Plan B flash hider threads onto the 5/8x24 muzzle and is timed with a left-hand nut, so it comes off without shims or crush washers. Behind the tines is a 29/32-24 Plan B interface that a suppressor with a Plan B-compatible mount threads onto. It is rated for .338 and smaller bores.
Can I put it on a rifle lower?
Only if that lower is registered as a short-barreled rifle. A 7.5″ barrel on a lower with a stock is an SBR under the National Firearms Act. On a pistol lower it builds an AR pistol. Check your state and local law.
Is the bolt carrier group and charging handle included?
No. This is a barreled upper. The complete version ships with the BCG and a Breek® gas-blocking charging handle installed.
Where is it made, and what is the warranty?
The barrel is made in Faxon’s Greater Cincinnati, Ohio plant, and the upper is assembled there. It is covered by the Faxon Lifetime Guarantee.
