When will my order ship?
Trusted Distribution Partner items typically ship within 1–3 business days from our partner's warehouse, separate from any Faxon-fulfilled items in your order. Transit times depend on the carrier and destination.
Will tracking come from Faxon?
Yes — you'll receive a tracking notification from Faxon Firearms when your partner-shipped item leaves the warehouse. If your order also contains Faxon-fulfilled items, you'll receive separate tracking for each shipment.
Can I combine this with other Faxon items in one shipment?
No. Items marked Trusted Distribution Partner ship from a different warehouse than Faxon-fulfilled items and will arrive separately. Each shipment has its own tracking and may arrive on different days.
How do returns work for partner-shipped items?
Returns for Trusted Distribution Partner items are handled by Faxon Customer Service rather than through our standard self-service portal, so we can coordinate the return with our partner on your behalf.
To start a return, contact us at customerservice@faxonfirearms.com or submit a request through our support form and select “Refund / Return.”
Is this product authentic and covered by warranty?
Yes. All Trusted Distribution Partner products are sourced from authorized distributors and are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty. Faxon stands behind every product sold on faxonfirearms.com.
ARKEN OPTICS EP-L4 6-24x50 FFP RIFLE SCOPE — VPR ILLUMINATED / MRAD TURRETS / 30mm
The Arken Optics EP-L4 6-24x50 FFP VPR MRAD (EPL4-6241VPR) is the MRAD-turret variant of the EP-L4 VPR scope. All specifications are identical to the MOA variant (EPL4-6240VPR) — 30mm tube, 25 oz, Japanese ED glass, red-illuminated VPR center, AZS zero stop, capped windage, 20 MRAD of elevation travel, side parallax from 10 yards, and CCW turret rotation. The difference is the click unit: 0.1 MRAD per click, 8 MRAD per revolution. Because the VPR reticle uses MIL-based subtension spacing, this MRAD variant delivers a native MIL/MIL workflow — reticle reads and turret dials in the same unit, no conversion factor required at any step.
For shooters whose ballistic apps, DOPE cards, or ranging systems output in MRAD, the EPL4-6241VPR takes that data directly to the turret. Read a 3.2 MRAD correction from your ballistic solution, dial 3.2 MRAD on the elevation turret — no multiplication, no rounding, no mental arithmetic between ranging and dialing. At 25 oz on a 30mm tube, the EP-L4 MRAD VPR brings precision reticle capability with a unified MIL unit system to shooters who want a lightweight scope compatible with standard rings and metric ballistic workflows.
The VPR reticle marks in MIL. The MRAD turrets click in MIL. Ranging, ballistic data, reticle reads, and turret inputs all stay in the same unit. There is no 3.44 multiplier, no approximation, no conversion column in your data book. What the reticle shows and what the turret accepts are the same number.
Each click moves point of impact 0.1 MRAD — approximately 1 cm at 100 meters, 0.36 inches at 100 yards. Ten clicks equal 1 MRAD, which corresponds to one MIL increment on the VPR holdover grid. Building manual DOPE cards is straightforward: each reticle mark equals a known, whole number of clicks with no fractional conversion.
The Variable Precision Reticle provides a detailed MIL-based holdover grid that remains accurate at any magnification in this FFP configuration. At 6x for close-range engagement or 24x for distance work, the VPR subtensions read the same MIL value. No magnification-specific reticle correction needed.
The EP-L4's 30mm main tube fits every standard 30mm ring on the market, keeping total scope weight at 25 oz. For precision-oriented shooters who want a lighter platform for pack hunting, field shooting, or lighter rifle builds, the EP-L4 VPR MRAD delivers the VPR reticle and MIL workflow at a weight class most 34mm precision scopes cannot match.

The EP-L4 elevation turret increases elevation with counter-clockwise rotation — opposite the direction of many common scopes where clockwise is up. This is consistent across the Arken EP series. Verify rotation direction during your first zeroing session to establish correct muscle memory. The AZS zero stop is reached by rotating clockwise back to the stop after dialing up elevation corrections.
The windage turret is capped for field use — zero it at the range and leave it protected. For wind calls in the field, the VPR precision reticle's MIL-based horizontal marks allow accurate wind holds without touching the capped windage turret. This is the intended workflow: dial elevation on the exposed AZS turret, hold wind with the VPR grid. The MIL spacing of the VPR horizontal marks pairs naturally with MRAD-based wind call calculations, keeping wind corrections in the same unit system as elevation corrections.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the only difference between this scope and the MOA variant (EPL4-6240VPR)?
The turret click unit is the only difference. This MRAD variant (EPL4-6241VPR) clicks in 0.1 MRAD increments with 8 MRAD per revolution. The MOA variant (EPL4-6240VPR) clicks in 1/4 MOA increments with 20 MOA per revolution. All other specifications are identical: VPR reticle, red center illumination, 30mm tube, 25 oz, AZS zero stop, capped windage, 6-24x magnification, 50mm objective, Japanese ED glass, eye relief, field of view, parallax range, length, weight, accessories, and price. Choose this MRAD variant if your ballistic data is in MRAD or you want a native MIL/MIL workflow with no conversion between the reticle and turret. Choose the MOA variant if your data or workflow is in MOA.
How does the VPR reticle work with MRAD turrets compared to MOA turrets?
The VPR uses MIL-based subtension spacing. With MRAD turrets on this scope, a 2 MIL correction from the reticle translates directly to dialing 2 MRAD on the turret — 20 clicks of 0.1 MRAD each. No math, no multiplication. With the MOA turret variant, that same 2 MIL correction requires converting to MOA first: 2 MIL x 3.44 = 6.88 MOA, which rounds to 7 MOA or 28 clicks of 1/4 MOA. For shooters who dial corrections frequently or work from MIL-based ballistic solutions, the MRAD variant eliminates this step entirely. For shooters who primarily hold with the reticle and only occasionally dial, the conversion on the MOA variant is manageable and that variant works well for anyone whose overall data workflow is in MOA.
How does the AZS zero stop work and how do I set it?
The Arken Zero Stop (AZS) provides a positive mechanical stop at the elevation position you designate as your zero. After zeroing the scope at your chosen distance, you engage the AZS at that position. From that point, you can dial up any amount of elevation — up to 20 MRAD across 2.5 full revolutions — and when you rotate the elevation turret back down, it stops at your zeroed position. You feel and hear the stop, confirming return-to-zero without counting revolutions or checking turret marks. The AZS is toolless: adjustment requires no special tools. Set it during your initial zeroing session and verify return-to-zero before field use.
What rings or mounts fit this scope?
The EPL4-6241VPR uses a standard 30mm main tube. Any 30mm scope rings in low, medium, or high height fit this scope. At 13.8 inches in length and 50mm objective, verify that your ring height provides adequate barrel clearance for your specific rifle. For extended-range precision shooting, a 20 MOA canted Picatinny rail can shift the effective use of the EP-L4's 20 MRAD elevation travel so more is available for upward dialing to distant targets rather than compensating for a zero below the rail’s bore line.
Is the CR2032 battery included?
No. The EP-L4 uses a CR2032 coin cell for center illumination, which is not included. CR2032 batteries are widely available. The scope operates normally as a non-illuminated FFP scope without a battery — the illumination circuit is fully independent of the optical and mechanical systems. Purchase a CR2032 before your first range session and carry a spare if you regularly use illumination in the field.
