BURRIS VERACITY 5-25x50mm FFP RIFLE SCOPE — RCT MOA ILLUMINATED / ZERO STOP / 30mm

First Focal Plane RCT — MOA Reticle MOA Turrets Burris Veracity 30mm Tube Zero Stop 64 MOA Elevation Hi-Lume Multi-Coated

The Burris Veracity 5-25x50mm FFP RCT MOA (200690) is a first focal plane precision riflescope built for long-range hunting, precision competition, and tactical applications. The RCT (Ranging, Compensation, Targeting) reticle is a MOA-based FFP design, with the turrets clicking in 1/4 MOA increments — a native MOA/MOA configuration where every hold and every dial share the same unit system without conversion. At 5-25x magnification on a 50mm objective with Hi-Lume multi-layer optical coatings, the Veracity is built to deliver bright, high-contrast images across the full magnification range.

The elevation turret offers 64 MOA of total travel with a zero stop for reliable return to zero. At 1/4 MOA per click, that’s 256 clicks from stop to stop. The windage turret provides 30 MOA of total travel. At 28.2 oz and 16.4 inches on a 30mm platform, the Veracity is among the lighter and more compact 5-25x50 FFP scopes available at this magnification range, and its 3.5–4.3 inch eye relief offers shooter flexibility across different field positions and stock configurations. At $1,299.99, the Burris Veracity represents Burris’s commitment to delivering professional-grade glass and mechanics at a competitive price point in the premium FFP segment.

Burris Veracity: Native MOA Workflow at 5–25x
RCT Reticle — MOA Grid in FFP

The RCT (Ranging, Compensation, Targeting) reticle is a first focal plane MOA-based design. In FFP, the RCT’s hash marks and subtensions are accurate at every magnification from 5x through 25x — no magnification-specific corrections to your holds. At 25x, the same 1 MOA mark that is true at 5x remains a true 1 MOA. This is the core advantage of FFP for shooters who engage at variable power settings.

MOA/MOA — No Conversion Required

The RCT reticle subtensions are in MOA and the turrets click in 1/4 MOA. Every hold, every wind estimation, and every dial share the same unit. A 5.5 MOA elevation correction from your ballistic app goes directly onto the turret as 22 clicks. A 2 MOA wind hold read from the RCT grid corresponds directly to 2 MOA of available windage adjustment. No multiplication, no rounding across unit boundaries.

Hi-Lume Multi-Coated Optics

Burris’s Hi-Lume multi-layer optical coatings are applied to every air-to-glass surface to maximize light transmission and minimize reflection and internal glare. At 5-25x on a 50mm objective, high-transmission coatings matter most at the power extremes — at 25x where exit pupil is narrowest (2mm), and at 5x in low-light conditions where the 10mm exit pupil benefits from every photon the coating can pass. Hi-Lume is Burris’s performance coating tier applied to the Veracity line.

5-25x — Versatility Across Applications

At 5x low power, the Veracity has a 21-foot field of view at 100 yards and a 10mm exit pupil — usable for close-range transitions and field work. At 25x, the 4.3-foot field of view and 2mm exit pupil enable the fine aiming resolution needed at extended distances. Few magnification ranges cover this span as efficiently, making the Veracity a single-scope solution for hunters who engage at both timber ranges and open-country distances.

Turret Direction — Verify at Zeroing

Per manufacturer specifications, turning the elevation turret counter-clockwise raises the point of impact; clockwise lowers it. For windage, counter-clockwise moves the point of impact right; clockwise moves it left. These directions are the opposite of some scope conventions — confirm on your specific rifle during your zeroing session before field use. Both turrets are robust and designed to maintain zero under heavy recoil.

30mm Tube — Ring Compatibility

The Burris Veracity uses a standard 30mm main tube. This is the most common ring diameter on the market — a wide range of 30mm rings in medium and high heights is available from most major mount manufacturers. If running a canted rail for extended elevation travel, confirm that the 64 MOA of total on-scope travel plus any rail cant provides sufficient range for your zero-to-distance dialing requirements.

Zero Stop

The Veracity elevation turret includes a zero stop that locks a mechanical reference at your zeroed position. After zeroing the rifle, set the stop. Dial up as far as needed for distance work, then return to the stop to restore zero without counting clicks back down. The zero stop is particularly valuable in field conditions where returning to zero quickly and reliably between different engagement distances is operationally important.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the RCT reticle?

RCT stands for Ranging, Compensation, Targeting — Burris’s designation for a MOA-based precision reticle designed for technical long-range use. The RCT provides hash marks and subtensions in MOA increments for ranging using known target sizes, precise holdovers at established distances, and wind estimation using subtension width as a reference. Because this scope is first focal plane, the RCT subtensions are accurate at all magnifications from 5x through 25x — no magnification factor correction is needed regardless of where the power ring is set. The RCT’s MOA graduation pairs natively with the MOA-click turrets, so corrections read from the reticle dial directly onto the turret without conversion.

How does this scope differ from a budget FFP scope at the same specifications?

The Burris Veracity at $1,299.99 reflects Burris’s investment in Hi-Lume multi-layer optical coatings applied to every lens surface, tighter manufacturing tolerances, and the reliability expected from a scope at this price tier. Burris is a US company with a long reputation in the optics market. The Hi-Lume coating system is engineered for maximum light transmission and minimal internal scatter, which is most apparent at the power extremes — 25x in low-light conditions, or 5x in fast-moving field situations where image brightness and edge clarity matter. Build quality, warranty support, and the Burris name are also part of what the price reflects.

What parallax range does this scope cover?

The Veracity’s side-focus parallax adjustment ranges from 50 yards to infinity. This is calibrated for long-range hunting and precision shooting applications where targets are typically beyond 50 yards. Shooters who need parallax correction below 50 yards should note this minimum distance and evaluate whether it covers their intended use cases. Side-focus parallax puts the adjustment knob on the left side of the scope body, accessible without breaking cheek weld.

What mounts fit the Burris Veracity?

The Veracity requires 30mm scope rings or a 30mm one-piece mount. This is the most common ring diameter, giving you a wide selection of mounting options from virtually every major ring manufacturer. At 16.4 inches in length, ring placement options depend on your specific action and rail length. For precision shooting applications requiring extended elevation dialing beyond the scope’s 64 MOA of travel, a canted Picatinny rail (typically 20 MOA) is a common addition to push the zero point down in the adjustment range and preserve more elevation for above-zero dialing.

Is this scope under warranty?

Burris offers a Forever Warranty on their optics, covering the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty card is included in the package. Contact Burris directly for warranty service details and coverage terms. This scope is sold as new and includes the full manufacturer warranty through Burris.
