Match Series barrels begin with 416-R stainless steel and 5R button rifling. 5R geometry is designed to reduce jacket deformation and support consistent performance while remaining easy to maintain. After rigorous testing, the barrel receives salt bath nitride (QPQ) treatment inside and out to improve wear resistance, corrosion protection, and service life.
The Flame Fluted® profile reduces weight while preserving practical rigidity and adding surface area to help manage heat during extended firing. A Nickel Teflon coated DPMS/LR-308 compatible extension adds corrosion resistance and dry lubricity at the receiver interface.
