Faxon Duty Series 20", Gunner Profile, 350 Legend, Carbine Gas, 4150, Nitride AR-15 Barrel
FaxonFaxon Firearms is expanding the ever-popular Gunner line of barrels to include the new 350 Legend straight wall cartridge. The Gunner profile is a blend of two of the best performing profiles of all time, Gov't and Pencil. Faxon's Gunner profile combines the durability of the Gov't profile with the weight savings and maneuverability of the Pencil profile. The Gunner profile brings the balance of the rifle back towards the shooter's body, limiting fatigue, and allowing for shooting, training, or hunting all day long.
Faxon Firearms barrels are the pinnacle of value. Manufactured in-house in Cincinnati, Ohio, Faxon barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11 degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy. Quality is imbued into our barrels from the beginning of the manufacturing process.. We start with the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless. From there, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace with precision PTG gauges.

Barrel
I have gone through almost every brand there is as a Professional Gunsmith when it comes to AR barrels. So When I pick one for my personal firearms it has to meet certain criteria. Meanwhile FAXON does that and Doesn't break the bank at the same time. That is why I own over 12 of their barrels for my own use.

350 Legend 20" barrel - follow up
Follow up on my first review. Shot the Faxon 20" 350 legend barrel with aero XL upper and Faxon 5.56 BCG and the rounds fed perfectly. Only complaints are the 16" and 20" 350 legend barrels get sold out fast.

350 Legend 20" barrel
Shipping was fast and I am suprised how light this 20" barrel is. I wanted a 350 legend 20" barrel for hunting in Ohio that allows only straight wall cartridges. I have matched the barrel with Aero XL upper receiver and fit wasn't tight but it wasn't loose either. Haven't shot a round through the barrel yet so I am not sure if I will have feeding issues but I have noticed on my other 350 Legend rifle that Lancer 350 Legend magazines improved feed performance as the lip is cut lower on the magazine.

Right Length & Profile for Hunting & Recreational Shooting
I wanted the 20" barrel to keep the velocity up on the the 350 Legend and to match the ballistics printed on the cartridge boxes. I was able to sight-in at 100 yards quickly and keep groups around 1 1/2". The barrel profile keeps the gun light. I have experienced feeding issues common to this cartridge. I think it would help to use this barrel on a receiver that doesn't have feed ramps, but I'm having a hard time finding one. Otherwise I'm very happy with this barrel.
