The Faxon FX7 Prefit 12" 8.6 Blackout Medium Sporter barrel is purpose-built for shooters who want compact bolt-gun handling with modern big-bore capability. Designed as a prefit barrel engineered for the Faxon FX7 action, it balances accuracy, durability, and practical performance for suppressed or unsuppressed use.
Starting with 416-R stainless steel, the bore is 5R button rifled then honed & lapped for a smooth internal finish and consistent performance. A salt bath nitride (QPQ) treatment enhances corrosion resistance, reduces fouling, and supports long service life. Each barrel is Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) and finished with a recessed target crown to protect accuracy at the muzzle.
