The Faxon Superfinished 5.56 M16 Bolt Carrier Group – Chameleon PVD is a premium, full-auto-compatible AR-15 upgrade engineered for shooters who demand reliability, smooth cycling, and standout aesthetics. Faxon treats “MIL-SPEC” as the baseline—then refines every critical detail beyond it.
This BCG features a 9310 tool steel bolt that is MPI tested, heat treated, and shot peened. The bolt and carrier are salt bath nitrided for increased surface hardness and corrosion resistance. The carrier and gas key receive a Chameleon PVD coating, providing enhanced wear resistance and a unique color-shifting finish.
Faxon’s proprietary Superfinish on the carrier body reduces friction and fouling, resulting in smoother operation and easier cleaning—especially valuable in high-round-count or suppressed rifles.
