AXIS Series
Faxon AXIS Series rifle barrels are engineered for shooters who demand match-grade accuracy with the cleanest possible bore finish and long-term consistency. Machined in-house from premium 416-R stainless steel, AXIS barrels feature 5R rifling, a recessed 11-degree target crown, and a fully honed and lapped bore to maximize uniformity and repeatable precision.
Unlike nitrided or coated barrels, AXIS Series barrels are left uncoated inside and out, preserving the natural stainless bore and chamber geometry. The exterior receives a media-blasted finish for a clean, matte stainless appearance with excellent thermal stability, while the nickel-Teflon® coated barrel extension ensures smooth, reliable lockup and corrosion resistance at critical interfaces. Each barrel is stress relieved, air-gauged, and 100% magnetic particle inspected to verify material integrity after machining.
Designed, machined, and finished start-to-finish in Faxon’s Greater Cincinnati facility, AXIS Series barrels are purpose-built for precision-focused AR-15 and AR-10 platforms and are backed by the Faxon Lifetime Guarantee.
