Quality is imbued into our barrels from the start. We start with the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless. From there, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened gauges.

Faxon's MATCH SERIES of barrels takes our renowned performance and value up a notch.

Manufactured in-house from gun-barrel-quality bar-stock, the Match Series starts with 416-R in 5R rifling. 5R is a hybrid rifling, with lands opposite grooves and reduced sharp angles that reduces jacket deformation increasing velocity and easy cleaning. We chamber our Match Series in .223 Wylde, a hybrid chamber that the 5R rifling takes full advantage of. Better accuracy through less bullet jump, but fully and individually MPI tested for your safety. After rigorous testing, the barrels are Nitride treated inside and out, locking in the bore, improving barrel life, and keeping the elements at bay.

The extension is coated in Nickel Teflon which maintains incredible dry lubricity, corrosion resistance, and with the coating, tightens up fit between the extension and receiver - again improving upon accuracy. Combined, the Match Series of barrels are ready for when duty calls or the buzzer beeps with unrivaled performance value.

Very good barrel. Used for a build for varmints, mainly coyotes.

    Very nice barrel

This barrel has very nice machining, finishing, and fit. The fluting reduces enough weight to make this more than just a range gun. The accuracy of this barrel is what made me purchase more Faxon barrels. I am getting consistent sub MOA with BH 77 gr factory ammo.

    Nice barrel

Bought this as a replacement for an 18 inch FN barrel that would not print groups below 2 inches. Very pleased with this barrel. First five shot group after break in was just at an inch with 77 grain handloads.

    Excellent

I have owned this barrel for about two years as of the time of this review. I bought this barrel for an SPR build and I am not disappointed. This has been an excellent barrel; very accurate. This was my third Faxon barrel and will not be my last. I don't think you can get a better barrel for the money, so I keep coming back to them.

So far a great barrel. Good lock up and seems to be holding a tight group. Will give a further update once I've zeroed and started shooting it in competition.
