Faxon Firearms Pistol Compensators have been tested and confirmed compatible with Smith and Wesson M&P® M&P Shield 1.0, 2.0, and Plus
Constructed of 6061 aluminum with a black anodized finish, Faxon Pistol Compensators feature a uniquely angled front port single chamber design, enabling the compensator to improve consistency while reducing muzzle climb and recoil. The angled ports allow gas to deflect upwards as opposed to only deflecting sideways, reducing up and down muzzle movement and improving reliability. Barrel protrusion is designed to fit flush with the slide and has been optimized for Faxon branded barrels. For all other barrels, the barrel should protrude .600” or less for a flush fit. Each compensator comes complete with thread locker, two 6-32 set screws, and a 1/16 Allen wrench.

Easy to install. Definitely a noticeable difference with match series fluted barrel.

M&P Shield compensator
This is a game changer for the shield platform. Such flat shooting, makes it feel like a whole new gun. HOWEVER, after putting a couple hundred rounds thru it, the recoil spring for my shield plus exploded. Not sure if the new comp caused the issue, this recoil spring style is kind of a bad design, and could have failed anyway. But it is possible the new system I have going on caused it. Hard to say.

I would say that I take away more than 50 percent of the recoil, it's incredible.

This is an incredible buy, not only does it look great but it functions flawlessly. The price point is fair and I have purchased multiple compensators from faxon. This really tied my m&p shield build together, easy installation as well as looks great. These guys/gals at faxon make quality parts at a fair price and they’ve always gotten them to me on time and in perfect condition.
