A Memorial Day Message from Bob and Barry Faxon
To: The Fellowship of Firearms®
From: Bob & Barry Faxon
“This is the day we pay homage to all those who didn’t come home. This is not Veterans Day, it’s not a celebration, it is a day of solemn contemplation over the cost of freedom.” - Tamra Bolton
With the month of May coming to a close, it has already been a busy 2022 for all of us here at Faxon Firearms. In our email and social media feeds, we do our best to inform you of everything going on here; exciting news, in-stock products, new releases, and more. Today, however, is different.
Today is not about sales or products. It is not about promoting our brand, running sales, or making sure we show up in your feeds, inboxes, and timelines. Today is about honoring our fallen heroes.
Like you, many of our family and staff members have sincere connections to those who have served in the United States Military: some who made it home and others who did not.
When we stop and consider our freedoms, we cannot forget those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this country.
We have often said that our business is the fruit of the American Dream. For us, it is a dream that provides opportunity. It is a dream harnessing creativity, engineering, manufacturing, and 2nd amendment rights. It fosters what we call The Fellowship of Firearms®, knowing that what we do not only creates livelihoods for our staff, but also creates generational memories and ignites the curiosity of firearms for our customers.
We recognize that today can be particularly emotional for those who have lost a loved one in the line of duty. It is a bittersweet day combining the ultimate act of bravery with unthinkable loss. Today we are thinking of you. Today we are praying for you and yours.
Even in the face of uncertainty in our country and our world, we hope you can all find a moment to pause and reflect on these real heroes. The ones who put aside self to protect a country they loved.
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
John 15:13, NIV
Sincerely,
Bob Faxon, President
