The Ronin series is a distinct Holosun product line designation. The 507COMP Ronin (RONINHE507COMPGR) and the standard HE507COMP-GR share the same core platform, optical specs, and feature set — same CRS reticle, same window dimensions, same housing material, same battery, same waterproofing, and same warranty. The Ronin designation distinguishes it as a separate catalog entry with its own MPN. If you are comparing the two based on performance specifications, they are equivalent. Confirm with your retailer or the product listing if there are any packaging, bundling, or cosmetic differences specific to the Ronin version.

540nm refers to the wavelength of the green LED emitter in nanometers. The human eye’s peak photopic (daylight) sensitivity is centered around 555nm, in the green portion of the visible spectrum. A 540nm green LED falls close to that peak, in a range where the eye perceives light with much greater efficiency than it does red wavelengths (around 630–700nm). In practical terms, a green dot at 540nm appears brighter and more defined to the eye at a given power setting compared to a red dot. For competition shooters, this can translate to a dot that is easier to find quickly in the window, particularly against backgrounds that don’t contrast well with red light.

IP67 is an Ingress Protection rating with two components. The "6" means the optic is fully dust-tight — no dust ingress under any conditions. The "7" means the optic is rated for immersion in water up to 1 meter (approximately 3 feet) for up to 30 minutes without water ingress. For an optic used in competition or field conditions, IP67 means it will survive rain, splashing, submersion in a puddle or shallow water crossing, and dusty environments without functional damage. It does not mean the optic can be submerged indefinitely or at depth. For comparison, the Trijicon RMR Type 2 is rated IPX7, which covers the same 1-meter immersion standard but does not include the separate dust-tight certification of a full IP67 rating.

MRS (Multiple Reticle System) offers three fixed preset configurations: dot only, circle only, or circle-dot. CRS (Competition Reticle System) provides four independent elements — a 2 MOA center dot, an 8 MOA ring, a 20 MOA ring, and a 32 MOA ring — each switchable on or off independently. Any combination can be configured and stored. All combinations share the same zero; no re-zeroing is required when switching configurations. CRS supports configurations MRS cannot produce, making it the more capable and flexible system for competitive use.

The 507COMP uses the same mounting footprint as the standard 507C and Trijicon RMR, so it seats on any slide cut for those optics. The 507COMP’s wider body (larger window housing) may not fit holsters designed tightly around the standard 507C profile. Confirm with the holster manufacturer before ordering. Most major competition holster makers offer 507COMP-specific fits.
