When will my order ship?
Trusted Distribution Partner items typically ship within 1–3 business days from our partner's warehouse, separate from any Faxon-fulfilled items in your order. Transit times depend on the carrier and destination.
Will tracking come from Faxon?

HOLOSUN HE407C-GR X2 ELITE — 2 MOA GREEN DOT PISTOL SIGHT
The Holosun HE407C-GR X2 Elite is the clean, competition-and-carry green dot pistol reflex sight for shooters who want a single fast-acquisition reticle without the complexity of switchable multi-reticle systems. A single 2 MOA green dot, an open emitter window, Solar Failsafe, and Shake Awake deliver reliable always-ready performance whether the optic is sitting in a safe or riding on a competition rig in direct sunlight. With 12 brightness settings that include NV-compatible levels at the low end and full-daylight-outdoor levels at the top, the HE407C-GR X2 covers the complete operational range in a 7075-T6 aluminum housing on the same Holosun 407C/507C and Trijicon RMR mounting footprint found across the 507-series lineup.
The green LED puts the reticle at a wavelength close to the human eye’s peak daylight sensitivity — the same 540nm-range advantage found in the green 507COMP and HE508T-GR X2 platforms. Unlike the HE508T-GR-X2 green model (which sacrifices NV compatibility to achieve its green output), the HE407C-GR X2’s green LED maintains full night vision compatibility across its two dedicated NV brightness settings.

407C vs. 507C: Which Platform Is Right?
| Feature | HE407C-GR X2 | HE507C / HS507C |
|---|---|---|
| Reticle System | Single dot only | MRS (dot, circle, or circle-dot) |
| Dot Size | 2 MOA | 2 MOA (model dependent) |
| Solar Failsafe (HE) | ✔ Yes | ✔ Yes (HE variants) |
| Shake Awake | ✔ Yes | ✔ Yes |
| Footprint | 407C / 507C / RMR | 407C / 507C / RMR |
| Best for | Simple, fast single dot | Shooters who want reticle flexibility |
If you want one reticle and zero configuration decisions, the 407C is the cleaner choice. If you want to run a circle-dot for close-range speed and dial down to a dot for longer precision work, the 507C adds that flexibility at the cost of a bit more menu navigation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Solar Failsafe and how does it work?
Solar Failsafe is Holosun’s proprietary dual-power system. A solar cell on the housing continuously harvests ambient light — natural or artificial — and uses it to power the reticle directly when sufficient light is available. The CR1632 battery acts as a backup power source during conditions of insufficient ambient light (darkness, storage). In practice, Solar Failsafe extends battery life significantly beyond the rated 50,000 hours in any lit environment and means the optic can continue operating even if the battery dies during use outdoors. It is not a substitute for a charged battery; if you plan to use the optic indoors or at night where ambient light is low, ensure the battery is in good condition.
Is the green HE407C-GR X2 night vision compatible? I thought some Holosun green models weren’t.
The HE407C-GR X2 is NV compatible with 2 dedicated NV-level brightness settings. The model that is not NV compatible is the HE508T-GR-X2 — that specific optic uses a green LED configuration that cannot be dimmed to NV-compatible levels. The HE407C-GR X2 green LED does not have this limitation. If you are comparing Holosun green models on NV compatibility: the 407C green, 507C green, and 507COMP green variants are NV compatible; the 508T-GR-X2 Elite is not.
What is the difference between the HE407C-GR X2 and the HS407C-GR X2?
The prefix indicates the product tier designation. HE stands for Elite; HS is the standard designation. Both the HE407C-GR X2 and the HS407C-X2 include Solar Failsafe — the 407C platform carries Solar Failsafe across the line regardless of the tier prefix. The primary differences between the two models are reticle color and price: the HE407C-GR X2 (this model) uses a green LED at $193.99; the HS407C-X2 is the red LED version at $185.99. The HE407C-GR X2 also includes Lock Mode per the HS model’s feature set. Both use the same housing, footprint, battery, and carry-focused feature set.
What is the difference between the 407C and 507C? Why would I choose one over the other?
The 407C is a single dot optic — it displays one reticle only: the 2 MOA center dot. The 507C is a Multiple Reticle System optic that can display a dot only, a 32 MOA circle only, or a circle-dot combination. Both share the same housing dimensions, mounting footprint, and battery. The choice comes down to reticle preference. If you want a clean, simple, fast dot with no menu options, the 407C delivers exactly that. If you want the option to run a large circle for extreme close-range drills or a circle-dot at middle distances, the 507C gives you that flexibility. Both are equally suitable for competition or carry; the 407C is simply the more minimal of the two.
What battery does this optic use?
The HE407C-GR X2 uses a CR1632 3V lithium coin cell, not the CR2032 used in Trijicon RMR optics and many other pistol dots. The two are not interchangeable despite similar appearance. CR1632 batteries are widely available at electronics and hardware retailers. The battery installs via a side-loading tray, so replacement does not require removing the optic from the slide and does not require a re-zero.
Does this fit a standard Trijicon RMR cut?
Yes. The Holosun 407C uses the same mounting footprint pattern as the Holosun 507C and Trijicon RMR Type 2. It will seat on any slide milled to the RMR or 407C/507C cut without adapters. Holsters designed for the RMR or 507C profile will generally fit the 407C as well, since the body dimensions are the same.
