With a combined weight of just 0.96 lbs (15.36 oz) with the ejection port and dust cover installed, the X-TRA Lite Receiver Set is 2.08 ounces lighter than Faxon’s standard forged receiver set. Strategic skeletonization, precision aesthetic milling, and Faxon’s signature “X” design language reduce weight without compromising structural integrity in high-stress areas.
The upper receiver features a honed inner bore for smooth bolt carrier operation, a skeletonized Picatinny rail with manually engraved T-marks, a deleted forward assist, and clean lines enhanced by the durable Titanium Cerakote® finish. The lower receiver incorporates a Faxon “X” skeletonized magwell, further reducing mass while maintaining reliable magazine insertion and consistent ergonomics.

What calibers are compatible with this receiver set?▾
This receiver set is compatible with standard AR15 intermediate cartridges. Large-bore cartridges such as .458 may not function properly in the intermediate-size upper receiver.
Does this include internal components?▾
No. This is a stripped receiver set and ships unassembled without internal parts.
Why is the forward assist deleted?▾
The forward assist is intentionally removed to reduce weight and simplify the platform for lightweight and competition-focused builds.
