Very tight fit into receiver.
Nice weight savings...some improvement over stock Ruger barrel, still testing different ammo. Definitely, not like bull barrel, but good walk-around...Will see if use improves accuracy.

With this barrel and some added personal skill, I now notice ammo quality.

Top Quality
Perfect finish, crisp rifling, and the muzzle device threads are smooth when applying a suppressor. I haven’t had a chance to check the groups on paper but I am confident with the track record I’ve had with Faxon that it’ll be exceptional like the others. Can’t wait to get the next variant ordered!

16" Fluted 10/22 Barrel
Like so many seniors my Ruger 10/22 has been a companion for many decades. I bought it in 1980 and decided it was time to recharge its' batteries with an upgrade. The first component for the upgrade was a barrel that I felt would deliver the new life it deserved. I chose the Faxon Fluted barrel for the quality of manufacturing, the use of top-shelf metal and the care that Faxon includes in all its products. Had for me to be happier for my old companion.

Missing chamfer
Overall, I like the barrel. It's definitely on the spendy side, though. My Barrel did not have a chamfer in the chamber and it was sharp enough to shave lead off the rounds. This was easily fixed with a debur tool and some fine grit sand paper. Not sure if my barrel just slipped through inspection or if others had this same issue. I emailed the company to let them know of the issue.
