What Does This Service Include?

For a flat fee of $25, when you purchase any bolt or complete bolt carrier group (BCG) with a matching caliber barrel, our expert team will:

• Check headspace between the bolt and barrel to ensure proper fit and functionality.
• Laser engrave matching numbers on both the barrel and bolt, confirming that they have been checked and matched for headspace.

This service provides peace of mind that your bolt and barrel are correctly paired and optimized for smooth and reliable operation. Headspace is critical to the safety and performance of your firearm, and we take it seriously by offering this service to ensure your build is as precise as possible.

Why Is Headspace Important?

In simple terms, headspace refers to the distance between the face of the bolt and the part of the chamber that stops the forward motion of the cartridge. How Does It Work?

1. Purchase a Bolt or BCG: Add any Faxon bolt or complete BCG to your order, along with a barrel of a matching caliber. On all rifle barrel pages, select your bolt or BCG from the add on options along with the headspace matching service.
2. We Handle the Rest: Our team will check the headspace between your parts and mark them with matching laser-engraved numbers for easy identification. For ease and searchability, your order number will be used to match your bolt and BCG. In the event of separation of the bolt and barrel, they will be easily re-matched by matching the laser engraved numbers.
