FAXON HARMONIX® Ti•CONEL® 5.56 RIFLE SUPPRESSOR — TITANIUM W/ INCONEL BLAST BAFFLE

The Harmonix® Ti•CONEL® is the newest addition to the Faxon suppressor lineup—purpose-built for shooters who refuse to compromise between weight, durability, and sound performance. At 8.4 oz without a mount, this is one of the lightest 5.56 rifle suppressors on the market, yet the machined Inconel 718 blast baffle means it handles sustained fire and high-round-count training sessions that would erode a pure titanium design over time.

The dedicated 5.56 bore delivers maximum suppression for the AR-15 platform—a tighter bore means less gas blowby and better sound reduction than running 5.56 through an oversized .30 or .36 cal can. If your primary host is an AR-15, this is the Harmonix® model that was built specifically for it.

Harmonix®—Where Suppression Meets Equilibrium®. Made in the USA by Faxon Firearms.

Why Titanium + Inconel? The Ti•CONEL® Advantage

Every suppressor in the Harmonix® series shares the same external geometry and overall baffle design—meaning sound performance is consistent across the lineup. What changes is the material, and that’s where the Ti•CONEL® occupies a unique position between the all-titanium ION and the all-superalloy Sentry.

Most suppressors force a trade-off: go lightweight with titanium and accept throat erosion risk, or go durable with a superalloy and live with the weight. The Ti•CONEL® eliminates that compromise by pairing two materials and two manufacturing methods where they matter most:

  • 3D-printed Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) body & baffles: The main tube and baffle stack are additively manufactured from aerospace-grade titanium—40% lighter than stainless steel with superior corrosion resistance. Additive manufacturing allows for internal geometries that would be impossible with traditional machining.
  • Machined Inconel 718 primary blast baffle: The first baffle—where temperatures and pressures are highest—is precision-machined from Inconel 718. This nickel-chromium superalloy maintains structural integrity above 1,300°F and won’t erode, warp, or fatigue where a pure titanium baffle would be at risk during high-volume or full-auto fire.
  • High-temperature ceramic coating: The exterior finish adds thermal protection and abrasion resistance without adding measurable weight.

The result: a suppressor that weighs only slightly more than the all-titanium ION while providing significantly greater throat durability. For shooters running high-round-count training courses, duty use, or full-auto 5.56, that blast baffle durability is not optional—it’s essential.

Compatible Calibers & Platforms

The dedicated 5.56 bore delivers optimized suppression for the world’s most popular rifle platform. A tighter bore means less gas blowby and better sound reduction compared to running 5.56 through a .30 or .36 caliber suppressor:

  • 5.56 NATO / .223 Remington — AR-15, M4-pattern rifles, and bolt guns. The primary cartridge this suppressor was designed around.
  • .224 Valkyrie — Long-range .224-caliber precision cartridge for the AR-15 platform.
  • .22 Nosler — High-velocity .224-caliber cartridge for AR-15 builds.
  • Any cartridge with a projectile diameter of .224″ or smaller.

Need a wider bore for .308, 6.5 Creedmoor, or .300 Blackout? See the Harmonix® Ti•CONEL® .30 Cal. For 8.6 Blackout, 9mm, .350 Legend, or .338 Federal, see the Harmonix® Ti•CONEL® .36 Cal.

Why Choose a Dedicated 5.56 Suppressor?

Shooters often ask: “Why not just run 5.56 through a .30 cal can?” You can—but there’s a measurable trade-off. A suppressor’s bore diameter directly affects how much expanding gas escapes around the bullet as it passes through each baffle. A dedicated 5.56 bore minimizes that gap, which means:

  • Better sound reduction — Less gas blowby through the baffle stack equals more effective suppression on every shot.
  • Less blowback to the shooter — Tighter bore containment means less gas venting rearward through the action, especially on short-barreled AR-15s.
  • Optimized for your primary platform — If the AR-15 is your main host, a dedicated 5.56 can gives you the best performance from a suppressor this light.

If you only shoot one caliber or your AR-15 is your primary suppressor host, the dedicated 5.56 Ti•CONEL® is the right choice. If you need multi-caliber versatility, the .30 Cal or .36 Cal Ti•CONEL® can handle 5.56 plus larger cartridges.

Mounting & Installation

The Harmonix® Ti•CONEL® 5.56 ships with a 1/2x28 Direct Thread HUB Adapter (the standard AR-15 muzzle thread) and is compatible with the full Faxon HUB Mount ecosystem. For quick-detach capability, pair it with a MuzzLok® Plan B Compatible muzzle device.

  • Thread the HUB adapter or mount onto your barrel hand-tight, then torque to spec.
  • Always verify concentricity with a rod or alignment tool before first fire.
  • For suppressor-height sights or gas adjustment, see our suppressed build guides.

Care & Cleaning

All Harmonix® suppressors—ION, Ti•CONEL®, and Sentry—are 3D-printed/additively manufactured and share the same care guidelines. Centerfire rifle suppressors produce less fouling than rimfire or pistol cans, but periodic maintenance extends the life of any suppressor:

  • Ultrasonic cleaning: Use a cleaning solution rated for titanium—avoid highly alkaline solutions that can damage the ceramic coating. Contact Faxon Customer Service for specific solution recommendations.
  • Exterior: Wipe down with a clean cloth after use. The ceramic coating resists carbon buildup but is not impervious to abrasion.
  • Storage: Store in a dry environment. Remove from the barrel between range sessions to prevent moisture trapping.

How the Ti•CONEL® Compares to Other Harmonix® Suppressors

All three Harmonix® models share the same external geometry and baffle design—the difference is material and manufacturing. Each is 3D-printed/additively manufactured (except the Ti•CONEL® blast baffle, which is precision-machined from Inconel 718).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Ti•CONEL® 5.56 full-auto rated?
Yes. The Inconel 718 blast baffle is specifically included to handle the sustained heat and pressure of full-auto fire. There are no barrel length restrictions for semi-auto or bolt-action hosts.
Why choose a dedicated 5.56 suppressor over a .30 cal?
A dedicated 5.56 bore minimizes gas blowby through the baffle stack, which means better sound suppression and less blowback to the shooter compared to running 5.56 through an oversized .30 or .36 cal can. If your AR-15 is your primary suppressor host, the dedicated 5.56 gives you the best performance. If you need multi-caliber versatility, the .30 Cal or .36 Cal Ti•CONEL® can handle 5.56 plus larger cartridges.
How is the Ti•CONEL® different from the ION?
All Harmonix® suppressors share the same external geometry and baffle design. The ION is fully 3D-printed from Grade 5 Titanium for the absolute lightest weight. The Ti•CONEL® uses the same 3D-printed titanium body but replaces the primary blast baffle with a precision-machined Inconel 718 insert. That makes it only slightly heavier than the ION while providing significantly greater throat durability—especially important for high-volume shooting, full-auto use, or duty applications where round count matters.
What mount does it use?
The Ti•CONEL® 5.56 uses the Faxon HUB mount interface and ships with a 1/2x28 Direct Thread HUB Adapter—the standard AR-15 muzzle thread. For quick-detach, pair it with a MuzzLok® Plan B Compatible muzzle device.
Do I need a tax stamp to buy this suppressor?
Yes. Suppressors are regulated under the National Firearms Act (NFA). You’ll need to submit an ATF eForm 4 through a licensed dealer. The $200 tax stamp fee has been eliminated, but the eForm 4 approval is still required. Your dealer can walk you through the process at the time of purchase.
Can I shoot .300 Blackout or .308 through the 5.56 suppressor?
No. The 5.56 bore (.224″) is sized for .224-caliber projectiles only. Firing a .30 cal projectile through a 5.56 bore suppressor would be extremely dangerous. For .30 cal cartridges, see the Ti•CONEL® .30 Cal. For even larger calibers like 8.6 BLK or 9mm, see the Ti•CONEL® .36 Cal.
How do I clean this suppressor?
All Harmonix® suppressors follow the same care guidelines. Ultrasonic cleaning with a titanium-safe solution is the recommended method. Avoid highly alkaline cleaners that can damage the ceramic coating. For specific cleaning product recommendations, contact Faxon Customer Service at customerservice@faxonfirearms.com.
Is this made in the USA?
