The machine work and finish work is absolutely outstanding, the slide cycles flawlessly and racks onto the frame even smoother then my OEM slide! The aluminum engraved rmr cover plate is a bonus. The serrations are extremely aggressive so if your not used to deep serrations with precise machine work there may be an adjustment period to get used to it grabbing your hand when racking the slide. I am very pleased with my purchase however I do have to note that the notch in the slide where the slide release catches and locks the slide back is giving me an issue on every frame/lower i have put it on. I have tried swapping out slide releases from OEM to aftermarket and the same issue is happening. My dominant hand can not activate the slide release with my thumb alone. The right angle is so precise on that notch in the slide that it grabs hold of the slide release like a solid wall. I’m not sure if I need to polish that edge or take a file to it and soften that angle or what but that’s my only complaint. I’m trying to sort it now and working with several gunsmiths to identify exactly what is causing this to happen. Don’t let that deter you from purchasing, Faxon makes phenomenal products!
