If you're looking for a more robust mounting method for your gas block... look no further. Pinning your gas block, in addition to the use of set screws, gives the user the extra piece of mind that your gas block won't shift or loosen while firing.

We took some of our most popular barrel models and took the biggest headache out of pinning your gas block by pre-notching the gas block journal and drilling corresponding holes in the included low profile gas block.
 
Each Pinned Gas Block Barrel comes with the pin, as well as a gas block. Gas blocks are hand-tightened to the barrel for shipping.

The Gunner profile is a blend of two of the best performing profiles of all time, Gov't and Pencil. Faxon's Gunner profile combines the durability of the Gov't profile with the weight savings and maneuverability of the Pencil profile. The Gunner profile brings the balance of the rifle back towards the shooter's body, limiting fatigue, and allowing for shooting, training, or hunting all day long.

Faxon Firearms barrels are the pinnacle of value. Manufactured in-house in Cincinnati, Ohio, Faxon barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11 degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy. Quality is imbued into our barrels from the beginning of the manufacturing process.. We start with the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless. From there, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace with precision PTG gauges.

    I, an utter novice in assembling AR-15s, was able to achieve a 700yd shot cold, never having shot a 5.56 rifle to that range before. To eliminate the possibility that those hits were a fluke, four of my friends took the same shot and were able to make it with the same ease. The quality of this piece was exactly as promised, though the larger-than-standard gas port has proven to be slightly frustrating. All-in-all, 100% recommended, though I'd say one ought to go with the non-pinned version and buy an adjustable gas block to go with this.

    Straight shooter

    The pre cut notch for the gas block ensures it won't go anywhere and it makes the Installation easier. It balances perfect on my KP 15 and would recommend it to anyone that would like to make a WWSD type rifle.

    Barrel for First Build

    I bought this barrel for my first rifle build and it is exactly as described. It feels light on the build by keeping the weight closer to the middle of the gun. Fit like a glove on my Aero Precision Upper. I haven't done anything crazy with it yet but it seems very accurate sighted at 25 yards, pushed to 100 with a red dot. Shipping and packaging were all good. I will definitely shop Faxon for my next build.

    I decided to go with this barrel in a recent build, in my opinion it’s the perfect balance of profile, weight, and the added security of a pre pinned gas block made this barrel a perfect fit. After a trip to the range, the accuracy, and feel of this barrel with a light weight hand guard make this my favorite build.
