The Faxon Integral® Series 16" Gunner A2 5.56 NATO barrel delivers the look and performance of a 14.5" carbine with the compliance of a 16" overall length — no pin & weld required. Featuring an integrally machined A2-style flash hider, this barrel allows full removal of barrel nuts, handguards, and gas blocks, giving builders complete freedom to reconfigure their setup. Designed and manufactured 100% in-house by Faxon Firearms in Cincinnati, Ohio.

16" Gunner mid-length w/flash hider
This barrel has very high material and manufacturing quality. The fitment was very snug in my receiver. My gas system fit perfectly and the gun runs great. The weight distribution is very nice and massively improved over the bull barrel that came on the gun. I took off one star because the gun produced massive muzzle flash. It flashes significantly more now than my old muzzle brake flashed HOWEVER I changed a lot of parts all at once so I can't confidently say that the flash is Faxon's fault. The flash is so bright that my eyes hurt after a range session at a well-lit indoor range. I'm using this barrel with Aero Precision standard upper receiver in FDE with a Superlative arms short stroke piston kit and ALG Defense EMR V2 rail and barrel nut. The Superlative Arms gas block "bleeds off" excess pressure so it's possible that this gas system has something to do with the flash but it seemed like the flash was coming from the muzzle. Other than the flash this barrel is very nice and I'm very pleased with every other part. If Faxon responds to this suggestions or if I find some other cause for the flash then I'll update this review.

Integral Barrel
Haven't got it installed yet but I'm impressed by the design and workmanship. Gives a nice compact package and some weight savings.
