Faxon Streamline Carbon Fiber 13" M-LOK Handguard
FaxonFusing Faxon's innovation and engineering with Lancer Systems' carbon fiber know-how, the STREAMLINE Carbon Fiber Handguard maximizes carbon fiber's unique rugged characteristics with practical application. The rail features 8 complete M-LOK facets for mounting accessories and uses standard AR-15 barrel nuts for mounting to the rifle, driving weight down, while maintaining decades-proven mounting systems.
Carbon fiber is 10x stronger than aluminum and 40% lighter. We created a carbon fiber handguard that is competition and duty ready, weighing in at only 7.99 ounces, with a steel barrel nut!
Already proven on champion competition rifles, the STREAMLINE Carbon Fiber Handguard is rugged and ready for anything a shooter can throw at it.

Initial impressions
My initial impressions so far: A) It's light. Its very light for what it appears to be. Picking it up you'll be pleasantly surprised at how light it is compared to how heavy it appears to be. B) It's a bit beefier/sturdier/larger than what the photos online show. I've got average sized hands and this handguard offers a full grip. C) For the most part it completely covers the gas tube, which can get pretty hot. It's a big bonus. I had a Brigand Arms handguard but I sold it as my gas tube got really hot and it offered no protection from that. D) The M-Lok slots are very solid. E) The clamp on system is very solid. There's no wobble or other defects. Best part is it uses a standard GI barrel nut. I highly recommend buying a V7 titanium barrel nut to cut the weight even further. If you can't order it from here just get it from V7's website, the handguard and barrel nut will arrive at about the same time.

13" CF Handguard - WE GOT A WINNER!
I've always been a fan of Carbon Fiber handguards as Lightweight or at least lighter rifles have always been my preference. I'm past the "I can build one under 4lbs using plastic and super glue" thing, for me it's all about easy manipulation of that front end. I've tried, tested and looked at pretty much every Lightweight handguard out there from Carbon Fiber to alloys. For me if a product is to help reduce weight it also needs to be functional and be able to take a beating. I have been using (formerly) AP Customs Gen II handguards and have been pleased but, with them no longer in business I needed to find an alternative for when the inevitable "oops"! occurred (I abuse my weapons...it happens). The one Carbon Fiber handguard I always felt was best was the one I first felt when Houlding Precision was still in California and built the Wraith. I LOVED those Houlding CF handguards, was just saving up enough to pick one up once they teamed up with Faxon and once I had that dough ready...no more
