Manufactured in-house, these barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11 degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy.
Quality is imbued into our barrels from the start. We start with the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless. From there, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened gauges.
Spectacular barrel, which I'm used to seeing from Faxon, at a great price. I waited until I could test this one to review, though I have several of their excellent barrels. Printed .4 MOA groups with Mk262 Mod 0 77gr, and .35 MOA with Mk312 MOD1 SOST. Even M855 grouped well at .9 MOA. I'm extremely impressed.
This barrel is really good and is pretty accurate to 300 meters. I thought there were going to be heating issues but even with a suppressor on it I was able to ring a 4" steal plate at 300 meters. The quality is there as was the price. I got it on clearance which isn't bad at all.
When the barrel arrived it looked fine, especially considering the very low price. When I went to install it, I noticed the bore was very dirty, so I thought it would be easier to clean before I installed it. Darn thing took four kinds of cleaner, dozens of patches and nearly an hour get clean. The rest of the installation was a breeze. I took it out to sight-in the new rig, I was amazed at the accuracy! Quarter sized groups at 50 yards with PMC 55 grain 556 ball! Very pleased with my purchase!
