As with all Faxon Barrels, these 8.6 BLK barrels are machined from raw bar stock in our greater Cincinnati Facility. Faxon 8.6 BLK barrels are fully stress-relieved, air-gauge tested, Magnetic Particle Inspected, and 11-degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy. Constructed of 416-R Stainless Steel, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected.
All Faxon Barrels are individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened gauges and are backed by the Faxon Lifetime Guarantee.
Faxon RemAge© Style Barrels for 8.6 BLK ship with a Thread Protector, Taper Adapter, and Faxon RemAge© Style Barrel Nut. Faxon's barrel nut uses a standard AR Armorer's Castlenut Wrench profile.

**Please Note - These barrels are not compatible with the Faxon Firearms FX7 Bolt Action Receiver before job number 8923. Barrels produced before this job number are only compatible with factory R700 actions and similar. As of 12/13/23, these barrels are compatible with both factory R700 and the Faxon FX7 actions and similar.

PLEASE NOTE:
We have noticed inconsistencies with 8.6 BLK ammunition available on the market. Ammunition that does not match cartridge print below cannot be guaranteed to function in our rifles or barrels.
Using cartridges made specifically for semi-auto rifles may cause light primer strikes in bolt action rifles due to hard primers.

Nice barrel
I have been debating about building a quiet large caliber rifle for a while. This was the catalyst that made me jump in. I put this barrel on a blueprinted Rem Seven action and it creates a great compact hard hitting rifle. The machining and finish look great and I had no issues installing to the proper headspace. I can't wait to develop both super and sub loads for this new toy.

Barrel looks to very well machined. Clean threads and nice finish. Shipping was quick. Some day I’ll find some ammo and/or reloading components and actually be able to fire rounds through it. I also bought the Go & No Go gauges. Mounted barrel on a a Mac Bros Evo 2.
