The Faxon Match Series 20" Heavy Fluted® .223 Wylde is built for stability, heat management, and long-range precision. The Heavy Fluted® contour increases stiffness and cooling surface area while trimming weight compared to a full heavy profile—ideal for sustained strings where point-of-impact consistency matters.

Machined from 416R stainless steel with 5R button rifling (1:8 twist) and treated with salt bath nitride inside & out, this barrel resists wear and fouling yet cleans easily. Every Match barrel is stress relieved, air-gauge tested, MPI inspected, and headspace verified. The M4 barrel extension is Nickel Teflon coated to improve lubricity and tighten the extension-to-receiver interface for repeatable accuracy.

    Significantly outperforms the cost. The fluting removes a significant amount of weight; the barrel is a few ounces lighter than my 16" medium profile 5.56. Followed the recommended break-in procedure from the FAQs. After the break-in, shot repeatable, just under 1", 5-shot groups at 100 yards with Federal .223 77gr OTM and Nosler .223 77gr OTM. Very satisfied.

    Finished by AR build and first time at the range to test drive the accuracy. My indoor range is maxed at 25 yards so I didn't have the chance to stretch its legs. At 25 yards and 50 rounds I am very impressed with the accuracy of this barrel. Very tight groups and a tack driver. Excited to one day to get to a 200 yard range. Very high quality barrel which I paired with a Faxon headspaced BCG. My new AR build performance was flawless.

    Just got her put together today. Outstanding accuracy, Runs awesome. She is lightly lubed with LSA. No steel yet. But no farts, hiccups, or poopie the pants. All aero precision receivers. So far, only used good ammo and all is 1.25 or way less. Best is from IMI 77 at 0.375. Only 200 rounds so far but I’m tickled to death. Happy.

    Very high quality, no blemishes of any kind. Fit in the Rock River Arms Upper with no play, just a perfect fit. Shot 5 groups of 5 (25 total) all in 1" bull eye at 50 yds on 2nd magazine, after sighting in the scope. Im a happy camper with this barrel
