The Faxon Match Series 16" Heavy Fluted .223 Wylde is built for shooters who want maximum stability and heat management without giving up balance. Deep heavy flutes shave weight, increase surface area for cooling, and add rigidity for consistent groups over long strings of fire.
Starting with 416R stainless steel and 5R button rifling (1:8 twist), the bore is salt bath nitrided inside & out for superior wear and corrosion resistance. Every Match barrel is stress relieved, air-gauge tested, MPI-inspected, and headspace verified. The M4 barrel extension receives a Nickel Teflon coating for slick feeding and a tighter extension-to-receiver fit.

16 inch 223 Wylde
Haven’t built this one yet, but impressed with the quality. Have to but another upper receiver because I used the one that I had planned to build with this barrel. I have 2 of their 308 barrels that I’ve built and they are the same quality. Haven’t had a chance to shoot either of those yet. I’m sure I’ll be pleased with them though.

LOVE IT
Ive had this barrel for over a year. I have shot it and found it to be worth every penny. Amazing Performance. Able to Put 3 inside the Letter "P" on a pizza box at 55 yards with standard wolf gold ammo. Kinda cant beat that. dead on and does well with lots of different loads. HIGHLY recommend. One of my top 3 fav builds an its because of this barrel. I could go on and on love it. Oh the fluting makes balance and weight really great. Nothing but good things. THANKS FAXON!

great barrel
amazing barrel for the price. fast shipping, good packaging the barrel was perfect right out of the bag, very good tolerances, super tight fit in my aero precision upper. excelent maching on the flutes, this barrel looks good on your rifle. gas block was super tight fit, could probably run without the set screws! all in all with the ability to get a headspaced bolt hand fit with the barrel for the price they charge this is a great buy. i was able to get 1/2 moa with 77 gr loads and saw closer to 1 moa with 55 gr but very pleased definately worth it i will be picking one up in 6.8 spc for my next build

Beautiful Barrel
This barrel is very nicely done. The finish is excellent, the flutes have the edges broken so there are no sharp corners. It balances well. The gas block diameter is dead on. The only small quibble is the aft OD of the barrel extension is chamfered,. OD chamfers going into a tight bore tend to pull up a burr. A radiused edge would be better, as it will not raise a burr.
