The Faxon Match Series 14.5" Gunner Profile .338 ARC Barrel blends precision accuracy, lightweight handling, and exceptional reliability into a compact, high-performance package. Built from 416R stainless steel with a 1:8 twist, each barrel is stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and finished with a durable Black Nitride coating to resist wear and corrosion. 338 Gunner Barrel 14.5 inch
This is the 3rd Faxon 338 ARC barrel I've purchased. One other 14.5 and one 10.5, each for different applications. I really like the cartridge--primarily for pig hunting here in Texas. The short one has a red dot and is for suppressed subsonic daytime use. One 14.5 is Nightforce scoped for supersonic suppressed daytime use. The third is for suppressed sub or supersonic night time operations and is equipped with an AGM Added V2 640 thermal. Each of these is a spectacular performer when used for the purpose intended. These barrels are reliable, well made, accurate as can be--whether sub or supersonic (I'm using Hornady in both). I'm sub MOA in an AR, which makes putting the hammer down on pigs makes them DRT. Strongly recommend Faxon barrels--they are my go to generally when I'm building AR's

I love it. This round hits like a train. WOW. The 14.5" Faxon barrel is very accurate. I run it with a Dead Air Primal can and it's on time. Very light and handles well.

Great fit and finish. The Barrel extension Faxon used provided one of the tightest fitment of any build I’ve done. Bore inspection revealed it was clean, shiny and smooth. , so was the chamber. Only shot it out to 50 yards using a Romeo 4 red dot and off hand at that but it grouped well with the 300smk, a 220grn Speer SP and a 185grn btbt. I’m happy with the barrel and my build. Great Stuff Faxon and highly recommend!!!
