Love Faxon Barrels

Good, but not great...
This was my first .300 barrel, and I was relatively new to firearms. Reading the specs list, this seemed like an absolute killer value for the price. Many rounds downrange, and a few more builds under my belt later, I have a couple of gripes. First, this barrel is overgassed, or at least mine was! I understand that needing to be able to reliably cycle rounds ranging from 110-220 (standard factory load) grains is pretty tricky to exactly nail, and it's better to be over than under-gassed. That said, the barrel that I have 'upgraded' into handles 110's and 220's just as reliably, and is less gassy. Second, I'm not sure this "gunner" profile is all that great... The aforementioned barrel I 'upgraded' into is a fully heavy contour, and I am none the wearier after a 4-hour day at the range. The heavy contour also maintains accuracy over fire schedules better than this barrel does. I'm certainly no expert, so take my review with a grain of salt. All this said, you really won't find greater bang for your buck than this barrel. I would just say plan on sticking to subs though if you intend to run a can, which is what this barrel has been completely relegated to now.

Great quality and finish. The Nickel Teflon extension is one of the best I've seen on any barrel. The fit on my VLTOR upper is tight and solid. Best fit of ANY barrel Ive installed on an AR upper. Stupid accurate at 50 Yds. as it is at 100 Yds. I am very happy with the results. Faxon knocks it out of the park with their Match Series. I will be purchasing another Match Series barrel soon!!!

Amazing Barrel
This is hands down one of the best 300 blackout barrels I have shot. It's accuracy and reliability are above all of its competitors. And it looks good too.

10.5 Gunner barrel
The barrel have look and feel like high quality. The fit into my Anderson upper was very tight which is a good thing. I have yet to put any rounds through the barrel as I'm still in the middle of my build.
