The Faxon Match Series 14.5" Flame Fluted® .223 Wylde Barrel combines artistry and engineering in one high-performance package. The aggressive Flame Fluted® design reduces weight, increases surface area for cooling, and gives your AR-15 a striking, functional aesthetic — all while maintaining match-grade accuracy.
Built from 416R stainless steel and featuring 5R button rifling with a 1:8 twist, this barrel balances precision, velocity, and bullet stability. It’s nitride treated inside and out for exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. Each Faxon Match barrel is stress relieved, air-gauge tested, MPI-inspected, and headspace verified. The Nickel Teflon–coated M4 barrel extension enhances lubricity and tightens receiver fit for improved consistency.

I haven't done the buildup or installation of this barrel at this time. Just judging from the overall looks, it's a beautifully machined and finished barrel. If it shots anywhere as good as it looks, it's definatly a 5 star. The only reason I rated 4 stars is that I haven't shot it yet. I hope I'm not disappointed!!
