The Match Series 14.5" Gunner .223 Wylde blends Gov’t durability with Pencil-like agility, delivering a balanced carbine that transitions fast and stays accurate. Chambered in .223 Wylde for match-grade precision with .223 Rem and safe compatibility with 5.56 NATO, it’s an outstanding foundation for performance builds and popular for pin-and-weld configurations to reach a 16" legal OAL (verify local laws).
Starting with 416R stainless steel and 5R rifling (button-rifled, 1:8 twist), the bore is then salt bath nitrided inside & out for fouling resistance and durability. Each barrel is stress relieved, air-gauge tested, magnetic particle inspected (MPI), and headspace verified. The M4 barrel extension features a Nickel Teflon coating to enhance lubricity and feeding consistency.

14.5" .223 Wylde barrel
I'd installed two previous barrels from Faxon on my .308 builds. Like I said before - Faxon has earned a customer for LIFE. It performs flawlessly. I've only shot a few mags through it to re-confirm my zero and run a few drills, so it's still going through the break-in period, but, again....another tack driving winner. I absolutely love this company and their barrels.

Weight & Performance
I love this barrel. Not only is it lightweight but it's very accurate. I have not tested it with rapid fire but the gunner profile is awesome for a lightweight build. Especially if you go with their lightweight carrier. I can't wait to get another one of these in my hands. We build all of our AR's in-house and we have used Faxon Barrels for at least 6 years straight. Buy with confidence!!

Match Series 14.5 Gunner, 223 Wilde, Mid Length
Very accurate in my build. Fit very tight in the upper receiver. They should sell them pinned and welded from the factory like the 14.5 5.56 barrels. The guy who did mine butchered the job. But the barrel is fantastic, very light. It does heat up fast but more than adequate for 3gun.
