Faxon M&P Shield Barrel, Match Series, 9mm, 416-R, Nitride, ThreadedFaxon
Faxon's Match Series Pistol Barrels for Smith and Wesson/M&P are machined 100% in-house from stress-relieved 416-R stainless steel. These barrels are then given a black Nitride or PVD coating to increase lubricity, barrel life, and resistance to surface wear. All barrels are conventionally rifled to allow a wider range of ammunition to be used, including cast lead. The barrels drop into factory-spec slides with no gunsmithing required. Better-than-factory tolerances ensure a consistent, tighter lockup than OEM.

If you own a shield and are not happy with it, Faxon has your back and you better believe it's worth it. If you don't believe me head over to my YouTube channel and watch my review video on the shield 9 drop in barrel. https://youtu.be/hgaJ5SUPBTo
I prefer this over original barrel its really nice and love the thread protector. Tight tolerances. Great index for racking slide bc the sheild slide has little to no front serrations. Got 2 more after receiving my first. 1 for my other sheild and 1 for the fullsize MP. Great product! Thank you Faxxon family
So I got this barrel for my shield plus so I can run a compinsater and I really love it. There are some things about it tho that are not a problem but somewhat concerning. Like when I was threading my comp on to the barrel the threads where so tight as well as there is a little gap between the barrel and the compinsater but other then that it shoot wonderful and functions great in my shield plus.
