    Quality Rubber bands

Posted by Unknown on Aug 27th 2015

I purchased a number of these in both 5.56mm and 300 blackout because I frequently introduce others to marksmanship and want to reduce any risk of a new shooter grabbing the wrong caliber magazine from my kit. I really like the color code scheme because it helps beginner's quickly differentiate magazines. A new marksman may not understand the difference between .30 caliber and .223 but anyone not colorblind will understand, "Grab the blue magazine, not the red one." The fit of these is snug on all my polymer magazines made by: Magpul and Lancer. They also fit the metal (GI-style) magazines but feel a bit loose and may fall off with rugged use. A tiny drop of gorilla glue on each side would secure these to slick metal magazines sufficiently for the rigors of 3-gun matches with lots of movement. At their core, these are durable color coded rubber bands with lettering. Like all rubber bands, they will eventually wear out and break. This keeps me from marking them with 5 stars. Their bright colors, clear lettering, easy to install, efficient design makes them a solid 4 stars. Many other options exist for marking magazines, but this is simple, it eliminates confusion which saves me time on the range and it works.

    It's such a simple idea.

Posted by Rob on Aug 24th 2015

I bought some of these when I was building my 300 Blackout, and recently bought packs of the 5.56 and 7.63x39. I didn't really need the AK bands, but I wanted the 5.56 bands so I could tell my mags from my roommate's, and it's working out well. If I were to wish, I would want more calibers, 458 SOCOM, 6.5, 6.8 SPC, etc. It's such a simple idea, and really, really useful. I'm a little surprised that no one else has had these made. Thanks a lot Faxon!

    great but more calibers needed

Posted by Unknown on Jul 24th 2015

These are great to help me quickly distinguish between my 556 uppers/mags and other calibers. I bought the 7.62x39 and they fit my mags great. Would have given 5 stars if faxxon would make 6.8 SPC and .458 socom.

    Need to be tighter!

Posted by Scott Keffeler on Jun 4th 2015

They will work but way to loose on a magazine. Need to take 1/2 and inch off the length and they would be a 5. They will come off or slip with a tug out of mag holders on vest/belt or whatever. Not heartbroken, they were only $10, just need to be tighter on a magazine.
