First AR 15 Build
This is my first AR build and I needed a barrel o finish it out. I have heard good things about Faxon products so I figured I’d give it a try. The finish and fit of the barrel look great. Haven’t had a chance to test things out at the range but everything looked good. Hoping to have many years of service with this build.

Faxon 14.5 barrel
I bought this Faxon 14.5" for a lightweight Ar build for my wife. She doesn't have the strength to hold a full weight 16" barreled Ar so this worked out nicely. I took it to the local range to sight it in at 100yards and adjust the gas key in the lightweight bcg. I was getting sub moa groups after the barrel was broken in and the gas key was adjusted. I use the X-ring barrel break in process seen in YouTube. I have since bought another 14.5", 16" and a .308 pencil profile for my other ar's and a ar10 build Im currently working on. These are great barrels that are light and shoot straight for a good price.

Lightweight Awesomeness
I’ve bought several of these and I couldn’t be happier. Accurate without the extra weight, these make an excellent all around carbine. The mid length gas system is perfect. Honestly, it’s unlikely I’ll ever build another AR without buying a Faxon barrel. I’m that in love with it.

14.5 pencil barrel
All around great barrel. 1 issue though. The feed ramps are rough, alot of tooling marks. In my opinion the ramps are unacceptable. I can polish them out but I will be removing the finish to do so. Not happy about that. Faxon Staff Note - We're sorry to hear that and ALWAYS happy to ensure your satisfaction. Contact our customer service so we can get you an RMA label!

Why spend more for a less quality barrel?????
I've built multiple rifles for clients using the Faxon products, specifically the barrels. Having nearly 35 years experience as a gunsmith and high end custom weapons building, it's a real pleasure to use such high quality products, that are very reasonably priced! I believe in the Faxon products, enough to use them for military, law enforcement, and more recently my wife and daughter's custom rifles!

The best barrels currently out
Loved the barrel so much I bought another within 1 week. Barrels are very light and take weight of the far end of the rifle which helps to better balance the rifle making it feel even lighter then it is. Accuracy is right up there with my $450 stainless 416r poly rifling barrels. I have the barrel paired with a lightweight bcg and SLR sentry 6 adjustable gas block and will be running this setup with ALL future rifle builds.

Quality barrel
I am a full time LE firearms instructor with a State police academy, and have one of these barrels installed on my primary training rifle. It is the lightest quality barrel I have been able to find, period! I have this rifle slung hours on end, and appreciate the reduced weight. With that said, there is no sacrifice of accuracy for the weight savings. These barrels are very accurate as well. I have purchased 3 of these barrels and all of them have performed flawlessly. The fit, finish, and quality are unequaled. I couldn't be happier with the customer service that I have received from Faxon! They are a great people, making quality components.
